As one of the most important crops in the world,soybean plays a functionally important role in oil crops structures.Developing soybean production can greatly promote Chinese soybean competitiveness in the international trade.The efficiency and scale can be also improved by applying information technology on soybean breeding.Although the agricultural information has recently reached a significant progress in China,its primary application on soybean breeding has been developing slowly and there is little related research.Thus,the study on information technology applying on soybean breeding has undoubtedly important significance.The main results were as follows:1.The eight stages of soybean breeding were clarified logically,and the standardization of informatization process on soybean breeding was put forward.The 52 characteristics required in the corresponding stages were investigated and summarized.At the same time,these related traits were described quantitatively and qualitatively.These eight stages and 52characters studied in present paper,basically covering all the soybean breeding traits of each process needed to record,can completely satisfy the practical soybean breeding work.2.According to soybean breeding objectives and functions of information management system,for ease of management and operation,combining the reality of soybean breeding process,this study could be divided into eight main function modules:system module,portfolio management module,breeding germplasm resources design module,test module,file management module,data analysis module,basic data module and system management module,design the function of each module.The function of each module design as follows:1)Germplasm resources of the module function design:used to manage germplasm resources and genetic traits stable high stable material such as generation of strain and the breeding process of F1 between Fn and other materials.2)Portfolio management module function design:around the breeding goals are combined,and the combination of progress and performance of multidimensional management offspring.3)Breeding design module function design:used in different breeding in the process of single point,multi-point,and years of test plan and design,including group in cross experiment,seed selection,quality than experiment and tasting,etc.4)Experimental design module function design:mainly used for agricultural experiment management,can be used to manage the new ecological adaptability test are introduced.5)Archives management module function design:for agronomic traits in the field data collection and management.6)The function of the data analysis module design:the comprehensive evaluation,provides the material characters and comprehensive evaluation,in view of the general test design method of analysis of variance,strains of multiple comparison analysis methods,a variety of material selection of auxiliary breeders,improve the efficiency of breeding.7)Basic data module function design:based on the latest model,the breeding stage,experimental design methods,the types of germplasm,the growth period need to survey the traits,staff management,workers in the definition of basic information,such as play a supporting role in breeding system.8)The function of the system management module design:mainly for user rights allocation,to supervise and control the numbering rules,realize breeding material information and test information sharing and security isolation.3.The field practices of our soybean breeding system showed:(1)the running speed can basically satisfy the practical work(2)the field PDA information collected and uploaded fast(3)the field photochromy function,can reflect scene originally and visually(4)The collected information of field characteristics can upload directly and efficiently,which can conveniently remove out the manual importation into computer.The system for the commercialization of soybean breeding material quantity,which is measured with a combination of a large-scale,wide distribution area test sites,character data mass and other characteristics.Together with the modern information technology and the key soybean breeding,we can achieve breeding materials management,the parent group distribution,experimental design,character data collection,information management breed competitions identification,traceability pedigree breeding process.Also we can effectively enhance the breeding of soybean breeding enterprise efficiency and market competitiveness.
