Recently, more and more importance was attached to smoking and health. Promoting the security of tobacco products had became the common target for tobacco industry to survive and develop. Research of security was conducted in Qingling mountains tobacco-planting area on soil, irrigation water, fertilizer applied in tobacco and tobacco leaves, in order to effectively control hazardous materials like heavy metal, pesticide residue, etc, in production process, aiming to provide scientific basis for developing green ecology, creating safe and low-harm environment for tobacco planting, building the ecological quality brand of tobacco and setting the GAP producing criterion for Qingling area. The main results were as follows:1. Results of content analysis of heavy metal for 164 soil samples from different types and altitudes showed that, except chromium average (94.28 mg/kg) was slightly larger than that of the national environmental quality standard for soils (90 mg/kg), but much less than the national soil environmental quality secondary standard (250mg/kg), the comprehensive pollution index of the content of soil heavy metal in Qingling mountains tobacco-planting area was lower than 0.7, and the order of evaluation met the requirements for the first standard of national soil environment quality. Comprehensive assessment was clean and safe.2. Results of security analysis for 37 field-irrigating water samples from different areas in Qingling mountains tobacco-planting area indicated that total mercury content of average value of 0.054μg/L, hexavalent chromium content average 4.92μg/L, lead content average 5.89mg/L, arsenic content of average 0.48 [ig/L, zinc content average 0.04mg/l, selenium content average 1.14μg/L and suspended solids content average 28.2mg/L. Each index of field-irrigating water samples in Qingling mountains tobacco-planting area was better than national standard.3. Detection and analysis results of security and efficiency of tobacco fertilizer indicated that the contents of heavy metals in organic fertilizer for total arsenic lmg/kg, total mercury less than 1, total lead 22 mg/kg, total cadmium 2 mg/kg, total chromium 21 mg/kg. Efficiency of tobacco fertilizer of the eight brands and 15 samples from different production order met the requirements of national standard GB15063-2009 and safe production of tobacco leaves.4. Detection and analysis results of harmful ingredients and pesticide residues in tobacco leaves from Qingling tobacco-planting area showed that carbon monoxide average of per gram tobacco was 16.62 mg/g, nicotine average value for 2.05 mg/g, tar average value for 17.83 mg/g; 8 kinds of pesticide residues were not detected. It indicated that the Qinling ecological safety of tobacco leaves. In summary, Qingling tobacco-planting area is a green eco-system and low hazard producing area for developing high-quality tobacco leaves with the characteristics of green eco-system and safe environment.
