| The experiment was conducted to investigate the production performance, slaughter performance and meat quality and economic benefit of two Sichuan local breeds(Guangyuan grey chicken and Jiuyuan black chicken). Expectations for the two local varieties of industrialization to provide basic data support and theoretical basis for scientific selection.The experiment choose each health 1000 of the 1 day Guangyuan grey chicken and Jiuyuan black chicken. Which was fed in farm of the Tianguang farming Limited Liability Company. Guangyuan city, the north of Sichuan Province from May to November in 2015. Guangyuan grey chicken and Jiuyuan black chicken were fed 1 age until to slaughtered age. the slaughtered age was 90,120 and 150 days. Determination of the production performance, slaughter performance, meat quality and economic benefit. The results showed that:(1) Production performance:The birth weight of quality chicken was 41.04g, Jiuyuan black chicken was 39.56g, Guangyuan grey chicken was 33.94g. Quality chicken and Jiuyuan black chicken were significantly higher than Guangyuan grey chicken. As the growth of the feeding days, The ponderal growth rate of quality chicken was significantly higher than Guangyuan grey chicken and Jiuyuan black chicken.but the weight of 120.150 days of Guangyuan grey chicken and Jiuyuan black chicken had no obvious difference. In terms of the feed conversion was Guangyuan grey chicken significantly higher than Jiuyuan black chicken and quality chicken. Guangyuan grey chicken was 4.26, Jiuyuan black chicken was 3.98, quality chicken was 3.13. And the feed converstion of 90,120, 150 days of Guangyuan grey chicken was 3.98,4.86 and 5.91, they were significantly higher than 4.26,5.34,6.12 of Jiuyuan black chicken.(2) Salaughter performance:Slaughter rate of the different ages of Guangyuan grey chicken and Jiuyuan black chicken reached more than 85%, all eviscerated rate of the 150 days were reached more than 57%. As the growth of the feeding days, all eviscerated rate of Females of Guangyuan grey chicken from 59.72% to 61.97% by 90 to 150 days, and the Jiuyuan black chicken was from 58.26% to 60.99% by 90 to 150 days. Visceral organ of the different ages and varieties had significant differences, the visceral organ was weight increment on the feeding days growth. The rooster is greater than the hen. but sebum thickness has nothing to do with age.(3) Meat quality:The L* of the breast muscle color of the 90 days females of Guangyuan grey chicken was reach to 66.31. But the 90 days females was 58.81. And the 150 days was not significantly higher than 90,120 days. The L* and b* of Guangyuan grey chicken along with the age growth and rising, but the a* has nothing to with age. The L*, a* and b* of Jiuyuan black chicken along with the age growth and lower. The pHj was 5.8-6.5, pH24 was 5.7-6.3 from 90 days to 150 days by breast muscle and leg muscle, the breast muscle was from 5.86 to 6.13 along with the age growth and rising, but the leg muscle was on the contrary. The shear force along with the age growth and rising, and the rooster is higher than the hens, leg muscle is higher than the breast.It was reach to 3163.95g and 3410.90g by 150 days. The moisture content of the breast muscle of the 120 days of Guangyuan grey chicken was 74.33%, the leg muscle of 150 days of Guangyuan grey chicken was 76.69%. The leg muscle was significantly higher than the breast, and it along with the age growth and rising. The breast muscle of the 90 days of Jiuyuan black chicken was 71.99%, the leg muscle of 90 days of Jiuyuan black chicken was 74.80%, it changed unregularly with days. Breast and leg muscle intramuscular fat content of Jiuyuan black chicken and Guangyuan grey chicken along with the age growth and rising. The crude protein content of breast and leg muscle of Guangyuan grey chicken and Jiuyuan black chicken along with the age growth and lower, The hens content is higher than the roosters, leg muscle is higher than the breast. The amino acid and inosinic acid content of Guangyuan grey chicken and Jiuyuan black chicken along with the age growth and rising, the amino acid of roosters is higher than hens, breast muscle is higher than the leg. But the inosinic acid content of The hens content is higher than the roosters, leg muscle is higher than the breast.(4) Economic benefit:The two chickens raised for long days, it suit the traditional consumption habits live poultry market and farmers can also have certain benefits according to the experimental data.120 days of Guangyuan grey chicken achieve 11.10 RMB, and 120 days of Jiuyuan black chicken was 13.31 RMB. |
