Chrysanthemum originates from China,and is one of the ten famous traditional flowers in China and one of the four cut flowers in the world.Cutting propagation,as one of the main asexual propagation methods,was widely used in large-scale production of chrysanthemum.At present,China has realized annual production and supply of cut chrysanthemum.But the problem to be solved is how to improve the quality of the chrysanthemum and to evaluate the rooting capability of chrysanthemum.In this experiment,we used different concentrations of growth regulators to treat 'Jinba' on different times.We aim to find out the effects of different growth regulators on the cutting of chrysanthemum and rooting mechanism.In addition,the conclusion was identified.The main results showed that:1.Three different growth regulators related to rooting has been selected in pre-test,they are NAA(10,50,100mg/L),IBA(100,250,500mg/L),ALA(10,25,50,100mg/L).Growth regulators above-mentioned treated on 'Jinba' once before cuttings to determination rooting formation days,average rooting rate,average of adventitious root number,average of root length,average of root dry weight and average of root fresh weight.The results showed that the rooting indexes of chrysanthemum treated by NAA 100mg/L or ALA 100mg/L were better than the other treatments.Consequently NAA 100mg/L and ALA 100mg/L were selected.2.Application of 100mg/L NAA and 100mg/L ALA treatment of 'Jinba',spray once every 5 days.A total of three times of spraying.Determination of average of plant height,average of stem diameter,average of collateral scion number of female parent.Determination of the rooting indexes of cuttings.The results found that,applying 100mg/L NAA 1 or 2 times,applying 100mg/L ALA 1,2 or 3 times can significantly improve maternal quality,increase the cuttings recovery,shorten production time.Among them,using ALA can get better results.Application of 100mg/L NAA or ALA 1,2 or 3 times can increase the rooting ability of cuttings.Compared with NAA,ALA can be more significantly increased average of dry weight and average of fresh weight of morphological indexes,more obvious effect.3.Application of the same treatment of' Jinba'.Determination of the rooting indexes of cuttings.The results found that,in the two scion before applying the same growth regulator also can significantly improve the cuttings rooting ability,and the effect of ALA was superior to that of NAA.Among them,using ALA once time can get better results.In conclusion,application of 100mg/L ALA,spraying chrysanthemum once before cutting is the most suitable method,and this method can be used continuously.4.Application of 100mg/L ALA treatment of difficult to root cultivars 'Nannong Fenkui',spray once every 5 days.A total of three times of spraying.Determination of the rooting indexes of cuttings.The results found that,the application of 100mg/L ALA 1,2 or 3 times can significantly improve the cuttings rooting ability,it is consistent with the conclusion we get in 'Jinba' before,further verify the accuracy of the conclusion.Application of 100mg/L ALA and that of spraying female can significantly improve the cuttings rooting ability,this conclusion is not only applicable to the easy to root species,and is also suitable for difficult to root cultivars.5.Compared 100mg/L ALA with traditional methods rooting powder.Application of 100mg/L ALA or rooting powder treatment of 'Jinba'.Determination of the rooting indexes of cuttings.The results found that,the effect of 100mg/L ALA is superior to rooting powder.And when ALA and rooting powder mixed use can obtain better rooting effect.6.Studied on the physiological and biochemical changes of cut chrysanthemum'Jinba' during rooting.The results showed that exogenous ALA treatment of female parent,can improve the nutrient content of leaf,and ALA is closely related with the changes of nutrients inside the leaf.
