In the present study, two experiments were conducted to investigate the effects of compound probiotics on growth and blood indexes of Intestinal digestive function of Trionys sinensis and Ctenopharyngodon idellus.the results as follow:Test one:A 140 days experiment was conducted to evaluate the effects of compound probiotics on body indexes and some blood biochemical indices in Trionyx sinensis (initial average body weight (227.47±14.42)g. compound probiotics were added at levels of 0 mg/kg (control group I),500 mg/kg (group II), 1000mg/kg (group III) and 2000 mg/kg (group ?) on the basis of soft-shelled turtle diet. The results showed as follows:weight gain rate (WGR) and specific growth rate (SGR) were increased significantly by adding 1000 mg/kg compound probiotics (P<0.05) and the highest of survival rate. Weight gain in ? group increased by 29.25% compared to that in group I. the organ body ratio, liver body weight ratio, crude lipid, crude protein and crude ash have no significant differences, but the moisture of group II and III group was significantly higher than that of group I and group ?(P<0.05). The activities of digestive enzymes in intestine and triglycerides (TG) significantly increased by adding compound probiotics (P<0.05), but the activity of amylase significantly decreased when excessive add (2000 mg/kg) compound probiotics were added in Trionyx sinensis. the foregut villus height and crypt depth have no significant differences (P>0.05). The compound probiotics can significantly increase the thickness of intestinal mucosa in Trionyx sinensis (P<0.05). Serum total cholesterol (CHO), blood urea nitrogen (BUN) and alanine transaminase (ALT) (P<0.05) in serum significantly decreased, but the levels of (LZM), glutathione peroxidase (GSH-PX) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity in serum significantly increased, but the opposite effect appeared when excessive add compound probiotics were added in Trionyx sinensis (P<0.05). Meanwhile, TP, GLB, ALB, GLU, MDA content and AST activity in serum among all experimental groups showed no significant difference (P>0.05). Based on these observations above, it was concluded that the growth performance and the activities of digestive enzymes and nonspecific immunity and antioxidant capacity of Trionyx sinensis could be improved by adding compound probiotics, and the appropriate adding level of compound probiotics was 1000mg/kg.Test two:An 8 weeks experiment was conducted to evaluate the effect of the compound probiotics on growth performance and digestive enzyme activities and antioxidant function in Ctenopharyngodon idellus (initial average body weight was 175.79±15.32g). compound probiotics were added at Omg/kg (control group I), 1000mg/kg (group II),2000mg/kg (groupIII) and 3000mg/kg (group ?) on the basis of Ctenopharyngodon idellus diet, respectively. The results showed as follows:weight gain rate (WGR) and specific growth rate (SGR) were increased significantly by adding compound probiotics (P<0.05) than the control group. However, no significant differences for survival rate were observed. Weight gain in III group increased by 16.32% compared to that in group I. the organ body ratio, liver body weight ratio, moisture, crude lipid and crude ash have no significant differences, When adding 2000mg/kg the crude protein content was the highest, the foregut villus height and the mucosal thickness have no significant differences (P>0.05), With the addition of compound probiotics were positively correlated(P>0.05); The compound probiotics can significantly increase the crypt depth of intestinal mucosa in Trionyx sinensis (P<0.05). The activities of digestive enzymes in intestine and total antioxidant capacity (T-AOC), catalase (CAT), superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase (GSH-PX) activity and glutathione (GSH) levels significantly increased by adding compound probiotics in serum (P<0.05), but the activity of superoxide dismutase (SOD) decreased when compound probiotics were excessively add (3000mg/kg) in Ctenopharyngodon idellus. The activities of anti-superoxide-anion free radical (ASAFR) and malondialdehyde (MDA) levels significantly reduced by adding compound probiotics in serum (P<0.05), but the opposite effect appeared when excessive compound probiotics were added in Ctenopharyngodon idellus (P<0.05). Based on these observations above, it was concluded that the growth performance and the activities of digestive enzymes and antioxidant capacity of Ctenopharyngodon idellus could be improved by adding compound probiotics, and the appropriate adding level of compound probiotics was 2000mg/kg.
