Euphorbia lathyris is a herb, its seed contains oleic acid, and is an ideal alternative biodiesel feedstock. It is planted in the south of China. It adapts to every habitat environment. It promises to large scale cultivation. In Shanxi, it is distributed rarely, and its growth dynamic was researched few. Seed coat of Euphorbia lathyris is thicker, so it needs long germination time. No studies on shortening germination time of Euphorbia lathyris were reported. The most fundamental of fat accumulation in Euphorbia lathyris, is the source of photosynthesis, but there is no Euphorbia lathyris photosynthesis research so far. Therefore, random sampling method to selected plants is adopted in this study, and growth dynamics of Euphorbia lathyris in Taigu is researched in detail. Fat accumulation of Euphorbia lathyris, the single factor variable control law is used to explore the shortened caper seed germination time conditions. Portable photosynthesis meter CB-1102 is used to measure the photosynthetic indexes of Euphorbia lathyris, and photosynthetic characteristics is researched. The results show that:1. On Euphorbia lathyris seed germination experiment in different concentration of GA3, it is concluded that 200 mg/L GA3 concentration is optimum concentration. The best treatment time is 8-10 h, Euphorbia lathyris seed is treated by GA3 On this time, all indicators of Euphorbia lathyris seed germination are the highest.2. In Taigu, growth cycle of Euphorbia lathyris is 170 d. Height, ground diameter, leaf length, leaf width, branch number, effective branches and capsule are 87.13 cm,18.74 8mm,14.83cm,2.16 cm,18.1, 14.5 and 294. In addition to growth cycle, compared with the South the sub-indexes of Euphorbia lathyris cultivation has not changed much. So in Taigu, it is also suitable for the growth indexes of Euphorbia lathyris.3. In transplant experiment of Euphorbia lathyris, all growth of Euphorbia lathyris after transplanting, were lower than normal, but the survival rate is higher.4. In the diurnal variation of measurement in Euphorbia lathyris, the net photosynthetic rate presents the "Two Peaks" phenomenon. The correlation of net photosynthetic rate and temperature, relative humidity, relative CO2 concentration is not significant, Tr and Gs is significantly positively related, and the intercellular CO2 concentration significantly negative correlation.5. The month photosynthetic changes of measurement in Euphorbia lathyris. In August, the photosynthetic index change is not too obvious, and remained stable.6. In July, August and September, by comparison among three months of the photosynthetic indexes in Euphorbia lathyris. Photosynthetic indexes in July are significantly higher, the lowest in September. It shows that July is the main grow period.
