AF-701 is a chemical product which 1-MCP is an active ingredient of.The 1-MCP is an ethylene inhibitor.It can delay the fruit senescence after harvest,prolong the storage period of fruit and improve the production.It is widely applied to postharvest fresh-keeping field of vegetables and fruits,but vegetable cultivation field still very rare.This experiment was carried out in Mao Zhuang lv Yuan vegetable production base located in Huiji region,Zhengzhou City,Henan Province.The cucumbers were cultivated in greenhouse and open field in early spring respectively.The double ridge cultivation pattern was used.AF-701 was used in cucumber seedling stage.Seven different treatments were as follow:The experiment was replicated six times in a randomized block design.The effect of different AF-701 on Cucumber Growth indexes,yield,quality and photosynthesis were studied.The preliminary results are as follows:(1)plant grow: The effect on the growth of cucumber,T5(0.35mLAF-701 + 2days before planting + no removing the first and second females)is optimum among 7treatments in solar greenhouse experiment,while it does not work when AF-701 is fertilized 7 days before planting.The later AF-701 is applied,the better the growth of cucumber they get.The effect of a larger dose on plant growth was better than smaller dose.In the open field cucumber experiment,T4(0.35mLAF-701 + 2 days before planting + after the third harvest + routine management)treatment has greatest effect and the secondary treatment is better than primary treatment on the growth of cucumber.(2)cucumber flowering date : AF-701 can make cucumber flowering date 1~2days in advance.(3)plant height,stem diameter:T4has greatest effect among these treatments during the early growth stage.And the effect of the second spraying AF-701 than once on open field cucumber plant height relative growth rate was greater.(4)the cucumber chlorophyll content: Chlorophyll content can be increased based on the AF-701 applied during the cucumber seedling stage with T4(0.5mlAF-701 + 2 days before planting + routine management)best than others while secondary treatment had no effect on chlorophyll content of cucumber.(5)cucumber nutritional quality: The Effects of AF-701 on solar greenhouseCucumber nutritional quality was best in T2(0.35mlAF-701 + 5 days before planting+ routine management),T4(0.5mlAF-701 + 2 days before planting + routine management)followed,T5(0.35mlAF-701 + 2 days before planting + no removing the first and second females)worst.(6)photosynthetic indexes: The effect of AF-701 on solar greenhouse cucumber photosynthesis indexes,T4(0.5mlAF-701 + 2 days before planting + routine management)has greatest effect on the photosynthetic rate and conductance to H2 O while T5(0.35mlAF-701 + 2 days before planting + no removing the first and second females)is optimum on the Ci.(7)Cucumber Yield: AF-701 treatment may increase the yield of cucumber in solar greenhouse with T4(0.5mlAF-701 + 2 days before planting + routine management)having the best effect than others,what's more,the higher dose had better effect than the lower dose.AF-701 treatment may have no effect on the cucumber yield of open field culture.
