By Observed the changes in the eyes of a cow to identify the cow was pregnant or not,which was an important index of pregnancy diagnosis in the early veterinary clinical.Ocular fundus blood vessel circulation system,which is in the peripheral blood circulation system of the whole body.The differences in the retinal blood vessels may reflect some physiological or pathological changes that pregnancy maternal to the fetal growth and development.At present,there are few reports about the changes of the fundus blood vessels in the cow’s gestation period in China.Fundus photography was used in this study.Through comparative and analysis the fundus photographs of non-pregnant cows,pregnant cows at different times and15 days postpartum cows,we want to explore several rules of changes of the fundus blood vessels of the cow during the whole pregnancy.By used fundus photography take pictures to 100 cows and used Adobe Photo Shop CS6 software and SPSS17.0 software,the changes of the retinal vascular of the cows in non pregnant group and different time pregnancy group and postpartum 15 days group were contrasted and analysed.Results are as follows:1.Changes in the number of vessels :(1)The number of the secondary and the third stage of the blood vessels in both of the left and right eye showed consistency and regularity changes.(2)In 30 days of pregnancy group and 240 days of pregnancy group,the number of third stage vessels were reached about 9.(3)In postpartum 15 days group,the number of third stage blood vessels were basically as the same of the nonpregnant group,which were reached about 3.In this test,vascular tortuosity was first observed in the 30 day of pregnancy.2.Changes in diameter of vascular :(1)the diameter of the artery and vein showed consistency and regularity changes in both of the left and right eye.(2)Artery is thinner than vein.In the group of nonpregnant,the artery diameter of right eye is15.04 ± 1.1640 mm,the vein diameter of right eye is 30.40 ± 2.7676mm;the artery diameter of left eye is 15.47 ± 0.4981 mm,the vein diameter of left eye is 32.68±1.3060 mm.(3)Compared the postpartum 15 days group with the nonpregnant group,both of the diameter of artery and vein in the left and right eye were not significantly different(P>0.05).(4)compared the pregnancy group with nonpregnant group,both of the vein diameter of the left and right eye were increased significantly(P<0.05),but the differences among arteries were not significant in pregnancy groups(P>0.05).(5)at 120 days of pregnancy,the artery diameter of both the right and the left eye were significantly increased(P<0.05).3.Changes in the diameter of the artery and vein ratio:(1)the nonpregnant group arteriole-to-venule ratio is 1:2.(2)From the nonpregnant group to the 90 days of pregnancy group,the arteriole-to-venule ratios of the left and the right eye were decreased to the minimum value(P<0.05)and both of the arteriole-to-venule ratios are1:3.(3)Compared the 90 days of pregnancy group with the 120 days of pregnancy group,the arteriole-to-venule ratio increased significantly(P<0.05),which was 0.41;(5)The arteriole-to-venule ratio both of the left and the right eye were substantially equal when compared the postpartum 15 days group with nonpregnant group.Through the study of the changes of the fundus blood vessels of the pregnant cows,the reference standard of the method of the identification of the fundus of the cow pregnancy was established:(1)Normal healthy cows had no lesions in the fundus.(2)Through the comparison and analysis of the picture,the number of third stage blood vessels in the picture field of vision more than 6 can be used as one of the criteria to judge cow pregnancy.(3)The diameter of the artery is between 15-20 mm,the diameter of the vein is more than 40 mm,and the ratio of the diameter of the artery and vein is less than 1:2,but more than 1:3,which can be used as one of the criteria for judging cow’s pregnancy.(4)The fundus retinal vascular of the cow occurred the phenomenon of tortuosity.Therefore,it is necessary to satisfy all of the above conditions to determine the cow pregnancy or not.The fundus reference map of pregnant cows was established and its annotation was made,in order to guide the clinical practice of veterinary applications. |
