The frame of self-propelled silage combined bagging machine is an important part of the machine. It should have sufficient stiffness and strength to support the mass of disc cutters, throwing device, engine and so on. The frame also should insure the machine proper operation under various working conditions. This paper calculates the stiffness and strength of self-propelled silage combined bagging machine frame. Resistance strain gauge method was used to measure the working strain and verify the results of the analysis. These results provide some academic bases and references to frame optimization.1)This paper extract the model of header lifting mechanism of self-propelled silage combined bagging machine and calculate the deformation of it. The maximum deformation is 0.1mm, it meet the operation requirements.2)Paper calculate the full load deformation of frame of self-propelled silage combined bagging machine. The maximum stress is 84.81 MPa at the joint of stirring mechanism support frame and chassis. The maximum displacement is 2.96 mm at the middle of stirring mechanism support frame. The strength and stiffness of the frame meet the operation requirements.3)Analyses the stress and stiffness of frame under braking condition, rough road condition and curve condition. The maximum stress is 120 MPa at the joint of front axle and chassis in rough road condition. The maximum displacement is 9.8mm at the joint of stirring mechanism support frame and chassis. The factor of safety is more than 1.4.4)Measure the working strain of the frame by resistance strain gauge method. Through comparing the measure results and the analysis results, verified the accuracy and reliability of the analysis results. The frame has rational construction. Finally puts forward some suggestions to figure out the challenges.
