In recent years,Chinese herbal drug residue yield was increasing day by day with the rapid development of Chinese medicine industry.Astragalus was a kind of commonly used tonifying drug,has strong immune enhancement effect.At present,many enterprises extract polysaccharides from Astragalus,which resulting in accumulation of Astragalus residue.Experiments showed that Astragalus still remained nutrients and biological active substances after extracting polysaccharide.Therefore,it has important practical significance to dispose and utilize Astragalus residue,scientifically.The solid fermentation of Astragalus residue prepared in preliminary experiment was used as feed additive for Partridge shank chicken.The growth performance,index of immune organ and biochemical index was measured to evaluate the effect of solid fermentation of Astragalus residue to provide experimental basis for its application and development in animal production.Methods:120 one-day-old Partridge shank chicken were randomly divided into control group,experiment group I,experiment group II and experiment group III,30 chicken in each group with 3 repetitions.25 days of age to start feeding the drug until the end of the trial The experimental period was 35 days.In given medicines 20 th day,23 th day,28 th day,33 th day,variation of growth performance,index of immune organ and biochemical index in all the group was measured.Result:1.Effect of feed additive on growth performance of chicken.: The difference of weight between three-experiment group and control group from 0 day to 15 th day was not significant(P>0.05).The weight in experiment group were higher than that of control group with prolonged feeding time.On the 35 th day,the weight of experimental group II and III were significantly higher than the control group and the experimental group I(P<0.05);The difference of average daily gain from 0 to 20 th day was not significant(P>0.05).The average daily gain in experiment group III was higher than the control group from 21 th day to 25 th day,and the difference was significant(P<0.05).The average daily gain in experiment group II and group III was higher than the control group from 26 th day to 30 th day,and the difference was significant(P<0.05).The average daily gain in experiment group II and group III was higher than the control group and experiment group I from 31 th day to 35 th day,and the difference was significant(P<0.05);The difference of daily intake among four groups from 0th to 30 th day was not significant(P>0.05).2 Effect of feed additive on immune organ index of chicken : Difference of the thymus index in 20 d and 23 d among groups was not significant(P>0.05).The thymus index in 28 d and 33 d in experiment group II was significantly higher than that of control group(P<0.05);The effect of feed additives on spleen index was not obvious,and the difference among groups was not significant(P>0.05).Even so,we still could find the spleen index in experimental group II,III was higher than the control group and the experimental group I;The difference of bursa index of the 20 th d and 23 th d between each treatment group and the control group was not significant(P>0.05);On 33 th day,the bursa index in experimental group was higher than the control group,and the difference was significant(P<0.05).3 The difference of antibody titer of Newcastle disease among groups was not significant(P > 0.05)when medicines had been given for 20 days and 23 days.On 28 th day after giving drug,the antibody titer of Newcastle disease in experiment group II and experiment group III was slightly higher than the other group,but the difference was not significant(P > 0.05).On 33 th day after giving drug,the antibody titer of Newcastle disease in experiment group II was significantly higher than the control group(P < 0.05).4 Protein: The total protein in experiment group were higher than control group with the extension of time.On 33 th day after giving drug,the protein content in experimental group II was significantly higher than that of control group(P < 0.05);The content of albumin in control group was lower than that of experiment group(P > 0.05)when medicines had been given for 20 days and 23 days.On 33 th day,protein content experimental group II was significantly higher than that of control group(P < 0.05).5 T-SOD(total superoxide dismutase)content: SOD content in medicines at the 20 th day when,between the groups no difference.To 28 days after drug,control group and experiment group I is lower than the other two groups,but no significant difference(P >0.05)and in 33 days,the experimental group II T-SOD content higher than control group and the experimental group I and significant difference(P < 0.05).Conclusions: Fermentation Astragalus residue in the application was better than non fermented Radix Astragali residue,and Radix Astragalus fermentation residue can improve the production performance and immunity level of partridge shank chicken.
