Bamboo and its composite materials have excellent physical-mechanical properties,and widely application,but they are easily eroded by mildew.With rain washed,mildew preventive erosion is easy to be happened for bamboo which treated with mildew preventive,thus affecting its protective life,and causing some environmental pollution.This study achieves the improvement of leaching resistance,practicability of mildew preventive,and obtained good,durable performance of mildew preventive via the methods of nanotechnology loading mildew agent and compounding with coating.Mildew agent 3-iodine-2-propyl-butyl carbonate(IPBC)which is widely used in bamboo,has been chosen in this study.Halloysite nanotubes(HNT)has been selected to load IPBC because it has lots of advantages,such as large specific surface area,adjustable pore size,easy to be modified and good biocompatibility et al.And it has promising application in the field of metal antirust,agent delivery,controlled release,and other fields.Silicone acrylic emulsion has been selected as compounded coating since the weathering resistance,hydrophobicity,flexibility and good adhesion.In this study,HNT was used as drug delivery carrier to prepared nanotechnology mildew preventive firstly,and then compounded with silicone acrylic emulsion to made IPBC-loaded carbon nanotubes emulsion.This study was mainly aimed at HNT load IPBC technology,the prescription of IPBC-loaded carbon nanotubes emulsion and treatment technology.The leaching resistance of IPBC treated material and others properities also been considered,Release kinetics and mechanism of the mildew preventive was deeply discussed in this study.The main research conclusions as follows:(1)Research on the HNT load mildew preventive by nanotechnology: Using Dimethyl sulfoxide(DMSO)intercalation to activate the HNT could keep its tubular chemical properties of the microstructure and achieve the high loading amounts of IPBC which reached to 34.59 %.IPBC also could keep the original chemical structure and performance after loaded by HNT.HNT could load IPBC after the processes of negative pressure pretreatment and DMSO intercalating pretreatment and the loading amounts of IPBC was increased with the increase of IPBC solution concentration.HNT load IPBC by nanotechnology have a great inhibitory effect to many kinds of mold and the blue stain fungus.The antibacterial ability is similar with single agent.Inhibitory effect could improve while the loading amounts of IPBC increased.The hydrophobic performance of HNT powder after loads IPBC by nanotechnology was significant increased,and when the loading amounts of IPBC was 26.49 %,the value of initial contact angle on the bamboo surfaceis biggest.(2)Research on the prescription of mouldproof emulsion and treatment technology: HNT load IPBC by the optimum technology and then compounded with silicone acrylic emulsion.It was found that the mass fraction of HD'I for bamboo scrimbers have significant effecton its preventing efficiency,and the preventing efficiency rose sharply at first and with the mass fractionof HD'I increased then rose slowly.Coating weight for bamboo scrimbers significant affected its thickness swelling rate of water absorption(TS).It was reduced firstly and then rose with the increase of coating weight.The concentration of silicone acrylic emulsion for bamboo scrimbershave significant effect onthe initial contact angle,with the concentration of silicone acrylic emulsion increased,the initial contact angle increased firstly and then reduced.Considering about the emulsion's pH value,viscosity,coating performance and economic cost,the optimal proportion was selected while the mass fraction of HD'I is 4 %,coating weight is 30 g/m2 and the concentration of silicone acrylic emulsionis 12 %.(3)Research on the leaching resistance of bamboo scrimbers after mildew treated: It was found that the preventing efficiency of bamboo scrimbers treated with mouldproof emulsion which IPBC without nano-loaded was greatly reduced.In the surface of bamboo scrimbers was coated with a uniform dense emulsion by mouldproof emulsion treating which HNT load IPBC by nanotechnology and compound with emulsion.After leaching tests,it has no significant effect on preventing efficiency,the leaching resistance for the mouldproof emulsion treated with IPBC after nano-loaded was increased.(4)Research on the release and mechanism of mildew preventive by HNT loaded:It showed that after HNT loaded by nanootechnology,the time of IPBC full released from 4 h was extended to 34 ~ 62 h,8~15 time longer than before.The influence of loading amounts of IPBC on its release showed that the accumulative release rate was decreased with the loading amounts of IPBC increased.Fitting the drug release kinetics model showed that the release of HNT load IPBC by nanotechnology in ethanol solution match the Korsmeyer-Peppas model,and the fitting coefficient R~2 in the range of 0.9609 ~ 0.9884.The fitting results showed that the release of IPBC behavior belongs to Fickian diffusion.
