Tree Species Resources And Its Application In Landscape Architecture In Guangxi Medicinal Botanical Garden

Guangxi medicinal Botanical Garden (hereinafter referred to as medicine Park) was founded in 1959. In 2011, it was successfully through United Kingdom certified by Guinness as the world’s largest, most professional of introduction and cultivation of herbal garden. By the end of 2013, about 8600 species with medicinal value were cultivated. In this work, tree species resources were investigated using site survey and data collection. By investigating the status, the present situation of tree species resources and the development and application of tree species were discussed and analyzed. This work aimed at providing scientific basis to medicinal species resources protection, development and management, and providing technical support and theoretical reference for the introduction of tree species in the future. Results were listed below:(1).Depending on the introduction of statistical results, as of 2013,1637 of the introduction and cultivation of medicinal tree species (including subspecies, varieties and forms), covering 610 genera and 125 families. Among them,115 581 genera of Angiosperms 1570 Gymnosperms and 10 67 species of the section 29.(2).Depending on the introduction of statistical results, Herbal garden tree species there were 125 families. Which, species total≥30 species above of section, has 14 section 765 species, accounted for section total of 12.8%, accounted for species total of 50.63%, respectively for:big halberd section 38 is 91 species, and rose section 25 is 85 species, and Butterfly shaped spent section 31 is 79 species, and madder section 29 is 59 species, and Magnolia 7 is 55 species, and Rue section 16 is 56 species, and tea section 8 is 52 species, and Sankoh 9 is 50 species, and whip grass section 12 is 47 species, and Su section 14 is 42 species, and oleander section 23 is 41 species, and Zhang section 9 is 39 species And the myrsinaceae,6 genera and 37 species of Caprifoliaceae 7 genera and 32 species.(3). Depending on the introduction of statistical results, Herbal garden tree genera of 610. species within the genus≥20,184 species in 7 genera, an account for 1.15%, 11.24% per cent of total number of species, genus as medicine Park advantage; single single 308 genera, an account for 50.49%.(4). Statistics and analysis showed that the herbal garden tree species for tree: Bush:Liana≈5:6:1; conifer 4.1%, Broadleaf 95.9%; Evergreen 50.9%, deciduous tree 49.1%.(5). According to statistics, The Herbal Garden to collect 108 different categories of protection of rare and endangered tree species, accounting for 6.6% of the garden tree species, belonging to 39 families, accounting for 28.8% of the total number of families. Including national key protected plants,64 species, belonging to 28 families; Guangxi key protected plants of the genus (the first) of 38 species, belonging to 16 families,13 species "IUCN Red List" species, belonging to 9 families,18 species "CITES Appendix" lists of plants.(6). According to the main type of application of plant landscape, medicinal garden tree species can be divided into 6 classes (part of tree species with multiple uses):Lone Tree (150 species), trees (338), shade tree (488), the vine tree (118), fence trees (134), protective wood (505).(7). According to species of ornamental characteristics classification, drug Park save of species can divided 13 class:leaves wood class (404 species), and flowers class (300 species), and fruit class (280 species), and branches class (26 species), and views attitude class (300 species), and seasonal appearance species (33 species), and spent leaves class (105 species), and leaves fruit class (49 species), and Ye Zi class (26 species), and spent fruit class (90 species), and stems class (7 species), and spent attitude class (19 species), and fruit attitude class (6 species).(8). This work presented a preliminary suggestion on medicinal garden tree species resources protection.
