Research On Garden Plant Groups And Their Application

This paper studies and sorts out the classification system of garden plants in the literature of garden design at home and abroad,and excavates the logic idea behind it,so as to provide the concept and species reference for the construction of garden and the selection of garden plants.Combined with visiting survey of domestic supply market of garden plants,Secret Garden project practice in Sea Flower Field of Hangzhou Bay,exploration on the a:pplication of garden plants and validation,and according to the garden plant landscape structure in construction of garden plant classification system,screen garden plants that are recommended for China,especially for Yangtze river delta region of China,which has hot and humid summers.The main research results are as follows:1.Through literature research,the existing classification basis of garden plants is summarized,including life type,ornamental period,color,ornamental part,suitable environment,application place and spatial structure,etc.The trend of inherent concept is explored as follows:1)appreciate the natural beauty of plants from all aspects;2)focus on the type of shortage;3)respect the plant itself;4)spatial structure perspective appears.2.Through the project practice of Secret Garden in Sea Flower field of Hangzhou Bay,the selection and application of garden plants span of 3 years of exploration and verification.And tease out the garden plants list of 10 dififerent application sites of306 species of garden plants based on the ornamental characteristics and ecological habits.Then select the plants of the excellent performance from 306 species of garden plants applicated in the garden,and sort out the plants of poor performance,so as to provide valuable reference to domestic garden building and plant design.3.The classification system of garden plant adapted to the spatial structure of garden plant landscape is constructed,and garden plants are divided into skeleton plants,main material plants and filling plants.Taking the garden plants in the Secret Garden of Hangzhou Bay as an example,this paper classifies them according to their landscape structure in the garden,From the perspective of garden plant classification,horticulture and garden are combined actively to provide the basis of landscape structure reference for plant selection in garden plant landscaping4.According to the climatic conditions in Yangtze river delta region,especially the hot and humid summer climate which is different from that in Europe and America,combined with years of investigation and observation of national garden plants,the classification list of garden plants adapted to the hot and humid conditions in Yangtze river delta region in summer based on different application angles was listed,providing reference for the application of garden plants mainly in Yangtze river delta region.
