To investigate the effects and mechanisms of food change stress and naturally contaminated with mycotoxins in the regulation of food intake in poultry, pellet diets instead of mash diets and moldy corn was used to treat the poultry to observe the broiler feeding behavior, simultaneous analysis of the hyperthalamic appetite-regulated genes expression to providingthe evidence of theory for energy appetite regulation mechanism of broilers.First, replacement of mash diets with pellet diets in 21 days for broilers, to Investigate the impact of food change stress on broiler food intake. Trail 1,80 AA broilers with similar body weight were divided into 2 part (control and pellet) at the day of 1,40 birds per part,4 group,10 birds per group. At the day of 21, pellet group replacement of mash diets with pellet diets at 8:00, food intake was record after the food change of every two hours. Trail 2, Experimental chicks were randomly allotted to two groups with four replicates of 25 birds. All the birds were fed with a mash diet until 20 day of age. The broilers were randomly subjected to one of the two following treatments at 21 day of age:continuing to feed a mash diet (control) or a pellet diet (feed form). The mash diet has same ingredient compositions and equal nutrient concentrations as the pellet diet. Feed consumption was recorded every two hours until the end of the experiment. Trail 3 400 AA broilers were randomly divided into two groups, replacement of mash diet with pellet diet with or without a five-day drinking water with 2% Gln or 2% Asp, food intake was record after the food change of every two hours. Trail 4 Male chicks were randomly allotted to three groups with four replicates of 40 birds, feed with mash diet until 17 day of age. At 18 d of age, one group birds was randomly selected and provided with a mast diet dotted with pellet (around 30% of surface of feeder pan,3-d AP) from 18 days to 20 days and transferred to pellet diet at 21 day of age. The other two groups of chickens continued to receive a mesh diet until 20 d of age and randomly subjected to one of the two following treatments at 21 day of age, continuing feeding the mash diet (Control) or a pellet diet (PD). Feed consumption was recorded every two hours until the end of the experiment. Collect blood, hypothalamus, proventriculus, duodenum, jejunum, ileum at 6h, 24h after food change stress. The results showed that food change stress reduced the food intake by increased the ghrelin gene expression. The appetite gene in hypothalamus and the ghrelin in gastrointestinal tract play a important role in alleviate of food change stress by a three-day acclimation period.Then, the study use moldy corn instead of corn in basal diet to study the moldy corn in the regulation of food intake in poultry. Trail 1,240 Hy-Line Brown male layer were divided into 2 part,120 birds per part,6 group, one part was feed with moldy corn diet and the other part was fed with basal diet for 2 weeks, the food intake was recorded every day and body weight were recorded Weekly. At the day of 14, fasting 12 h, blood, duodenum, jejunum, ileum were collect. Trail 2,240 AA male broilers (Arbor Acres) were divided into 2 part,120 birds per part,6 group, one part was feed with moldy corn diet and the other part was fed with basal diet for 2 weeks, the food intake was recorded every day and body weight were recorded Weekly. At the day of 14, fasting 12 h, collect blood, hypothalamus, liver, proventriculus, duodenum, jejunum and ileum. The results showed that the moldy corn for Hy-Line Brown male layer without adverse effect for a short term, but influence the intestine development and reduced the body weight gain of the broiler.
