This study selected coal gangue from Group of Shanxi Datong Tashan mine as raw material.Use the pot experiment, study on the influence of Chinese Cabbage growth in different proportion of the coal gangue with loam and sandy soil.and the changes of available heavy metal content in the matrix which applied lime before planting vegetables. The experimental results show that, coal gangue has certain effect of fertilizer. With the increasing of the amount of coal gangue,Cabbage plant height and weight of stem and leaf show an increasing trend.Comprehensively considering the influence of coal gangue on the mixing matrix pH,organic matter, alkali hydrolyzable nitrogen, available phosphorus nutrient content and growth status of Chinese Cabbage. The analysis shows that the proportion of coal gangue and loam at 2:3, and the proportion of coal gangue and sand at 1:2, it develops the most fertilizer efficiency. Before planting vegetables, applying lime can effectively reduce the content of available heavy metal and does not affect the nutrient content in the matrix. With the increase of the amount of lime, the content of available heavy metal decreases. But the lime is a chemical reagent, adding large amounts may change the original physical and chemical properties and fertilizer of soil. Therefore,it should not be too much.So the suitable lime adding amount is 3~9g/kg,the processing time is 5~6 weeks before growing vegetables.
