Through field surveying in12residential areas of Changchun city, this paper made investigation and analysis on rainwater collection and utilization condition, related content on water landscape, the basic of the water landscape, rainwater use and emission, green watering the form of roads and squares in the pavement permeability, landscape design, waterfront plants, studied for rainwater collection and utilization system model which was suitable for Changchun by combining with literature data on residential rainwater collection and utilization condition. Also this paper provided theory reference for residential rainwater system design of Changchun. The results were as following:l.By field investigation on12residential rainwater collection and utilization condition, related content on water landscape, rainwater harvesting status in Changchun residential was summed up that: Residential area of water body landscape in the form of gradually increased. Water body landscape and green space irrigation water sources are groundwater. Water features of the frequency of use and irrigation frequency is gradually reduced with the increase of the years of the completion of the residential area. The water quality was deterioration. Roff runoff rainwater in the residential area, the green runoff rainwater and road runoff rain water directly discharged into the residential area contains a natural water body and linear stream to collect part of a small amount of rain, only in a residential area. Roads and squares in the application of non-permeable materials.And the problem in Changchun residential area rainwater collection and utilization aspects was summarized that:Water resources utilization was not reasonable. Waterproof brick area was too large. There were not related facilities for rainwater collection. It did not reasonable in terms of rainwater resources utilization. Waterfront plant landscape had to improve. The plants of investigation residential area involved28families,40genera,51species, and16of aquatic and hygrophyte plants. Most residential area had reed, Acorus calamus. Several residential area just had less than15species waterfront plants, and the form was monotone.2.Through consulting document, The total amount of rainwater collection and utilization in Cchangchun residential area was calculated to60.606million m3, equivalent to3.79times the2010recycling of water. This paper summarized some ways for rainwater collection and utilization, like infiltration design, filtration design, sluice facilities, and related concrete methods. Rainwater system design was feasible in Changchun residential area combined with rainwater quality analysis.3.This paper summarized the modes of rainwater collection and utilization system, landscape construction which was based on rainwater collection and utilization condition investigation, was directed against Changchun residential area, was combined with local condition, landscape aesthetics, sustainable ecological features. Rainwater collection and utilization system was reasonable designed from roof runoff, road, square and green area rainwater, according to the community status design, become infiltration design in order to supply groundwater, storage facility as residential landscape and green water storage facility as a residential landscape and green headwater. This paper also drew construction diagram. In the collection process, it could build rainwater landscape by natural and social property of rainwater.This research suggested concrete measures, according to current situation on rainwater collection and utilization, proceeding from theory and practical engineering. It also provided theory, practice reference value for rainwater collection and utilization system construction for Changchun residential area.
