Full face rock tunnel boring machine(referred to as the TBM)is a large factory mechanized equipment which link mechanical,electrical,hydraulic,sensor,information processing and other technologies together.It has continuous excavate tunnel function.Main beam is core part of open type TBM,It provides the reaction force of cutter head and backup.The structure of main beam directly affects the TBM stability.Gripper shoe is key part of thrust system.When TBM excavate,the gripper closely contact with the walls.The cutter head reaction force and torque through the main beam to gripper shoe.Therefore,the TBM main beam and gripper shoe structure must have certain strength and stiffness requirements,and it is very important significance to study it.First,in this paper,the TBM is briefly introduced.The working principle and structure of open type TBM are introduced in detail.3D models of one pair of horizontal support TBM and two pairs of X type TBM main beam are created by Solidworks.The main beam under all kind of working conditions is analyzed by ANSYS.Then,find out the weak part and proposes an improved approach,sums up the advantages and disadvantages of the two forms of the main beam.Second,designs for tunnel project adopts open type TBM,the TBM gripper shoe as the research object.During the research,the gripper shoe structure under two kinds of limit conditions is analyzed by ANSYS,find the weak part.Steady state analysis was carried out on gripper shoe,it is concluded that gripper shoe under two working conditions of natural frequency and vibration mode,so as to avoid damage by the resonance.Finally,optimizes the design of gripper shoe structure.On the premise of meet the strength,the gripper shoe is analyzed by finite element analysis tool.Makes for gripper shoe quality minimum as objective function,increasing height of convex platform and radius of the ball head,the gripper shoe structure maximum equivalent stress value decreases and eliminates the weak part.The study results of this paper provides theoretical support and technical guidance for the new developing products for own company,and provides some suggestion for designers to design TBM main beam and gripper shoe.
