| Product Image Modeling is the product form gained by making consumers’ cognition of product form explicit,grasping consumers’ evaluation rules of product image modeling,and satisfing consumers’ cognitive needs.In the process of evaluation on consumers’ cognition,psychological experience data are usually used as a standard.But due to the influence of environment,emotions and other external factors,certain errors often exist between these data and consumers’ actual cognition,thus the effective research data cannot be accurately obtained,which are detrimental to designers’ creative thoughts.In view of this,this study evaluates product image modeling from the perspective of physiological changes by the way of the eye-tracking experiment that records the eye-movement data of subjects through experiments and uses physiological arousal amount.The study establishes a completely physiological data evaluation and application system in the product design process,which includes subjects’ cognition of image,the mapping relationship between target image and product modeling design elements,and the evaluation of product image design,etc.The study mainly includes the following three parts:The first part: the cognitive analysis of target image and product modeling.The study collects and identifies research samples and preliminarily perceptual vocabularies,and then establishes the evaluation model of product-modeling image’s eye-movement data of visual tracking experiments through analyzing the users’ perceptive experience of the product-modeling image by means of image Kanban combined with the eye-tracking experiments.In addition,this study obtains the target image of research sample modeling by sorting preliminarily perceptual vocabularies with image entropy theory.The second part: the evaluation of product image modeling design’s elements driven by eye-movement data.By the way of the eye-tracking experiment,the subjects’ overall evaluation for samples’ shape under the target image is obtained and the average pupil diameter of the subjects is used as the evaluation data.Besides,the morphological analysis method is used to decompose the research samples in order to obtain the form design elements.The study establishes a mapping relationship between design elements and target image with a class of theories such as quantification theory,then determined the contributions of each design element to the target image.The third part: the optimal design of product image modeling based on eye-movement data.According to the conclusion of the second part,judging the positive and negative contributions of each design element to the target image,combining each design element that makes positive contributions,the designer redesigns research samples following the design rules under the target image.With the method of using the eye-tracking experiment and the oral experiment,the image modeling evaluation is performed for new products to verify the optimization of product image.Through the four eye-tracking experiments,the entire study takes machine tool samples as an example to obtain the target image of the users’ product modeling,then establishes the mapping relationship between the product modeling image and the design elements,finally conducts an optimal design of target image modeling for products. |
