Smooth particle of hydraulics(SPH),as a meshless method has developed rapidly in recent years,which has great advantages in free surface treatment and has high accuracy in calculations of water movement.The article is finished following below structure.Firstly,the basic principles and control equations of the SPH method are introduced.Secondly,the boundary of the inflow and outflow is also summarized in detail,and the SPH program is used for secondary development.The inflow and outflow methods are applied to the SPH calculation,and the boundary of the inflow and outflow is performed through the surface line,flow and velocity distribution.Preliminary tests showed that the method has high accuracy in open channel flow.As a common hydraulic phenomenon in the open channel flow,the water jump plays an important role in this research areas,especially the energy dissipation.In order to expand the application of the SPH method in hydraulic engineering simulation,the hydraulic jump of open channel flow was numerically simulated using the inflow and outflow model.The hydraulic characteristics of hydraulic jump were studied,and the water surface lines,flow rates,velocity and pressure distributions were analyzed and the results were calculated.Compared with the experimental results,the results show that the inflow and outflow models used in this paper are feasible for the simulation of the hydraulic jump in open channel flow.
