Air compressor is a kind of general mechanical equipment,which has been widely used in social production.In the field of light rail,air compressor mainly provides stable gas source for vehicle braking system and other pneumatic parts.The quality and reliability of the air compressor have a very important influence on the braking and safety of the whole vehicle.Air compressor exhaust volume measurement is one of the most important tests in air compressor performance testing.At present,the methods of air compressor exhaust volume measurement mainly include the nozzle method and the Tank filling method,the measurement result of the nozzle method has higher accuracy,but it is only suitable for the laboratory testing,the Tank filling method has the advantages of low power consumption and short detection time,however,the measurement error is relatively large,so it is necessary to study the detection methods of air compressor exhaust volume,put forward an improvement plan and design a set of method that can quickly and accurately measure the air compressor exhaust volume.First of all,the paper introduces the composition and working principle of the reciprocating air compressor,and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the nozzle method and the Tank filling method.Then,the paper studies the relationship between the air compressor exhaust volume and the exhaust pressure and speed through the Tank filling method.In view of the low accuracy of measurement result in the Tank filling method test process,the paper puts forward a solution that a buffer stabilizing device is added on it to realize the stable control of the exhaust pressure,designs the exhaust pressure control system,builds the mathematical model,and identifies the parameters of the model by the flying curve method.Aim at the requirement of exhaust pressure precise control in the process of air compressor performance test,the paper adopts a fuzzy PID control scheme,builds the fuzzy PID controller,and uses the MATLAB simulation software to simulate the exhaust pressure control system.According to the designed scheme of exhaust pressure control system,the paper designs the gas path system of air compressor exhaust volume measurement device and the hardware connection diagram of exhaust pressure control system,and completes the selection of key components in this device.The STM32 is selected as the controller,the LabVIEW is used to write the upper computer interface.The paper designs the software program of the upper computer and the STM32 control system.Finally,the paper describes the installation process of the entire experimental device,analyzes and solves various problems that appear on commissioning site.The experimental results show that the design scheme of air compressor exhaust volume measurement based buffer stable pressure has high accuracy and short test time,achieving the desired test results.
