The flat gate valve can exhibit excellent properties,such as low fluid resistance,high energy saving,long opening and closing time,and no water hammer phenomenon.It is widely used in all trades and professions.Compared with other pressure vessels,the shape of the valve body has complex structures,and it is difficult to accurately calculate the force when redesigned.Usually,when the valve is designed,designers are mostly designed with empirical formulas and related standards.And these formulas are often too conservative,which leads to the waste of the material at the process of the valve designation,even the strength or seal of the valve is not required.This paper mainly uses the Inventor modeling software and the ANSYS Workbench construction analysis to analyze the reliability of the seal of the flat gate valve and optimize it.The Inventor modeling software is applied to set the model of the flat gate valve,and its parameterized to the wall thickness,the number of transverse reinforcement,the height and width of the horizontal bar,the thickness of the vertical reinforcement and the thickness of the outer vertical bar by using the parameterization function of Inventor.Then,the import valve Inventor model directs to ANSYS Workbench and ANSYS Workbench to analyze,this model needs to be analyzed as the grid independence test,eventually finding the valve sealing surface of the maximum displacement is 0.33893 mm.What's more,the maximum contact stress is 193.13 MPa.Through the Python programming software,the effective seal area rate of the valve is only 38.896%,and the area of the sealing surface is less than the ratio of the required pressure area.It is up to 34.202%.The Comprehensive analysis shows that the valve is never covered.The analysis of function module with the parameter ANSYS Workbench,on the flat gate valve wall thickness and stiffener parameters(a transverse rib height and width,two transverse rib height and width,vertical rib width,vertical rib width,outer flange transverse rib width)parameters were analyzed,so influencing on the different parameters of the valve seal.The multi-objective optimization function in ANSYS Workbench is used to optimize and compare the two designs.The scheme 1 keeps the inner vertical reinforcement,and the plan 2 removes the inner vertical reinforcement.Through analysis and comparison,it is found that scheme 1 is better than scheme 2 in the case of body stress and body quality.In scheme 1,the maximum displacement of the sealing surface of its best displacement is 0.23022 mm after the load.The effective seal area rate of the sealing surface is 66.544%,and the area ratio of the required pressure is 9.19%.Compared with the original model,the maximum displacement of the sealing surface is decreased by 0.10871 mm,and the effective seal area rate of the sealing surface is increased by 27.648%.At the same time,the area ratio of the required pressure is reduced by 25.012%.The sealing surface can form an effective sealing ring surface to meet the requirement of sealing reliability.
