In recent years,China's construction industry has developed rapidly and has effectively promoted the development of the national economy.As an important part of construction project management,construction project cost management not only involves the project's costs and benefits,but also plays an important role in the overall development of the project company.However,with the continuous expansion of the scale of construction industry,the traditional cost management mode of engineering projects based on artificial and single-cost management software has been difficult to meet the real-time and reliability requirements of construction project cost management.Therefore,for a construction company,it is necessary to increase the application of related technologies,especially information technology,so as to improve the project engineering cost management efficiency.5D-BIM is a cost management technology based on the BIM building information model platform,built around the progress,cost,quality,safety,and materials in the construction process.Its purpose is to reduce the engineering changes in the construction project and reduce the At the same time as the project cycle,it achieves the goal of controlling project costs,improving project quality,and achieving refined management.Based on the above reasons,this paper takes the application of 5D-BIM in project cost management of construction projects as the main research content,and elaborates and analyzes the related theories of project cost management and 5D-BIM technology,and then takes X large school buildings as an example.The application of 5D-BIM technology in the cost management of the university's school buildings was studied in depth.
