With the development of society and improvement of living standard, the standard of people living has been greatly improved.People are pursing more and more comfortable living environment. But the world's energy stress and environmental pollution limit the demand. The construction industry has a very significant impact on the surrounding natural environment and energy,Germany Passivehaus is a mature system in the field of ultra-low energy consumption, and it has been studied and discussed continuously in related fields: how to build low energy consumption buildings to meet people's living standards and comfort? This has been promoted by many countries, including China,as an important means to achieve the goal of energy saving and emission reduction. For our country, although Passivehaus technologies has been practiced in newly built housings, which is proved to be effective on energy saving and environmental comfort. But in large-scale urban reconstruction in China,it is more significant and realistic and that make use of the advantaged Passivehaus technologies to retrofit the existing buildings, especially the historical buildings in old urban. It can meet people's requirement of indoor comfort, reduce the energy consumption and preserve the architectural historical features. This paper studies the energy saving effect before and after the technical transformation of Passivhaus by combing the historical buildings which are reserved in the block of Shengjin pagoda,Nanchang.First of all, author illustrates the development of energy-saving reconstruction and passive housing technology at home and abroad. The German passivhaus advocated high thermal insulation, high air tightness,no heat bridge, efficient heat recovery and energy recovery fresh air systems have gradually become the general rules for passive house construction in the world. However, due to the differences between China and Germany in climate characteristics, building and energy consumption characteristics, residents' living habits, and so on,the application of passive technology needs to be adapted to local conditions.Secondly, author investigated the present situation of the historical buildings in Shengjin pagoda,Nanchang, including climatic characteristics, architectural status, architectural style and its thermal characteristics. Objectives, strategies and software simulation methods are put forward of for the retrofit of historical buildings. Finally,a typical building of this block is targeted to be transformed and simulated by PHPP before and after. The study shows that historical buildings in Shengjin pagoda can be adopted totally Passivhasu techniques, and combined with thecharacteristics of historical buildings. It is carried out energy saving effectively and it will bring the reference significance to the urban reconstruction in Nanchang, even in China.
