With the continuous expeansion of our country,the suburban railway has provided a powerful solution for the transportation from the central city to the suburbs with the operation mode of “high density,small formation,and public transportation”.Compared with the main line railway,the suburban railway has the characteristics of short lines,high-grid density,rigid suspension catenary and loads with tidal effects.The load process simulation of traction power supply system can be used to calculate the various types of power supply,different types of suspension of traction network and different load distributions,providing the basis for the best design and operation plan.In this paper,firstly,according to the different electromagnetic environment of the overhead wires in the traction network,Carson's formula and Tylavsky's formula are used to solve the unit impedance matrix and admittance matrix of the semi-infinite land model and the surrounding infinite land model respectively.For buried conductors,according to the guidelines of communication interference published in 1989 provided by the International Railway Union(UIC),the self-impedance of buried conductors,transimpedance between buried conductors,and buried conductors and overhead conductors were calculated.Then,according to the principle of power conservation and superposition,the voltage-current change matrix of the traction substation is deduced,and the universal equivalent circuit of the traction is obtained.Then,according to the principle of power conservation and superposition,the voltage-current change matrix of the traction substation is deduced,and the universal equivalent circuit of the substation is obtained.According to the electric parameters of the traction network,a chain circuit of traction network model is established,and a continuous linear power flow algorithm is used to solve the network.Based on the above theoretical model,using the software development platform of VS 2010,the software of AC Traction Power Supply System(ACTPS)was developed.Then,the influence factors of the voltage loss of the traction power supply system are analyzed through the simulation software.Increase the power supply distance for traction in suburban railways and provide specific recommendations for systems with large short-circuit capacity,improved train power factor,SVG settings,rigid suspension catenaries in tunnels selected,and reduced contact and return line spacing.The calculation method for the capacity design of the traction transformer of the suburban railway is also given.Finally,taking a suburban railway line as an example,the design scheme of traction power supply system was proposed using ACTPS.
