Since the researching and developing from the 1950 s to now,theories and methods of wagon flow organization have become mature,the expression of mathematics is concise,meanwhile the algorithm of problem solving is efficient.On the contrary,the optimization of Passenger-train Line Plan(TLP)is still in the development stage.If the theory and method of wagon flow organization(especially the theory and method of Train Formation Plan,TFP)can be used in the optimization of TLP,it will provide a great convenience for the research of TLP undoubtedly.However,there are contradictions between the TFP and TLP,while the descriptions between wagon flow and passenger flow are also different.The research on the intercommunication of two fields' theory and method has become an urgent problem to be solved in each field.As the basic idea,innovating and enriching the theoretical research,combining theory with practice,one has been taken as the starting point and the other as the principle for the paper.The study on the optimization of Passenger-train Line Plan based on the theory and method of wagon flow organization(TLP-TFP)have been done in the paper,which applying the methods of Graph Theory,mathematical programming,Matlab simulation,analysis and calculation.Meanwhile the theories of train operation organization,passenger-train line and optimality theory have been used in the study.The main work of the paper is as follows:1.The background of the TLP-TFP in the paper is cleared.Based on the existing research,the achievement of TFP and TLP are summarized.Both the theoretical generalities and interworking values of the two problems are refined.Based on the parts above the significance of the study has been discussed.2.The TFP and TLP problems are systematically summarized,so as to extract the basic method from them,and provide the theory which is the base thought for the paper.For the TLP,the basic optimization is chosen as the start,then variety forms of the model are extended and the thoughts of optimization are cleared.For the TFP,the car routing problem and train formation plan are the main parts of it.The mathematical modal is made for each problem,then the combinatorial optimization has formed.3.The similarities and differences between the theories of TFP and TLP are summarized.Base on it the nature of the paper is cleared.Starting from the differences,two main contradictions is analyzed,with the corresponding solutions.Therefore,the conclusion,that the theory of TFP can't be directly used into the TLP optimization,is made.However,under the some preconditions the TLP-TFP problem can still be achieved,the preconditions are “No transfer on the passenger.”,“Passenger flowing along the shortest route.”,“The passenger flow won't be affected by the change of line plan.”,“The railway can serve all the passenger.”.4.Based on the preconditions the assumptions of the boundary are set up.Under the assumptions and the form of TFP basic model,the passenger flow routing problem 0-1 model which based on the car routing theory is made.Meanwhile the stopping plan 0-1 model which based on the TFP theory is also made.After the combination of two models,the set function model for the TLP-TFP problem is set up.In this way,the TLP optimization based on the TFP theory has been achieved under the certain preconditions.5.According to the characteristics of TLP-TFP set function model,the integer programming algorithm,which based on the Table Calculation Algorithm,is designed.With a prototype of the simplified network of China railway high-speed,a example for the paper has been designed.Through the Matlab programming and analyzing,the feasibility and effectiveness for both model and algorithm are proved.Based on it,the hypothesis,that the theory and method of the TFP can be used in TLP optimization with the certain assumptions above,has been proved.
