With the rapid development of modern industry and infrastructure construction in China,increasingly economy and road construction,it has become increasingly frequent to transport large,particularly overweight industrial equipment from the road network.There are more and more heavy vehicles due to the traction and containerization of vehicles.Overweight vehicles can easily lead to damage to the bridge or even major accident,which is a serious threat to the safety of highway bridges.Preventing the bridge form collapsing caused by overweight vehicles has become a common concern of the bridge manager.Many bridges are overwhelmed,and the main structure cannot even service till in design years.Although limit signs are always set up around the bridge,sometimes even guards,they have limit effect because of the lack of advanced management system.Therefore,the study of advanced bridge overweight vehicle monitoring and management system has a great significance.By elaborating the necessity of building the Jiang Shun Bridge overweight vehicle monitoring and management,the principles of overweight vehicle monitoring and management system design were presented.Based on the investigation and analysis of the traffic volume of Jiangshun Bridge,the general framework of the system design was put forward.Respectively,Jiang Shun Bridge monitoring system and management system are studied.The four subsystems,high speed dynamic weighing system,license plate recognition system,video monitoring system and alarm display system in Jiangshun Bridge were set up for the overweight vehicle monitoring system.The system composition,arrangement and equipment selections were discussed respectively.Then,the control management system,traffic control system,integrated wiring system,lightning protection and grounding system,software management system,network management system,traffic control system and traffic control system were designed.Constitute the system of the subsystems,equipment selection,layout were detailed discussed.Through the engineering examples,an overweight vehicles management system is presented,the comprehensive management develop form the “block” to intelligent “induction”,the general arrangement of the system and implementation can provide reference for other comprehensive transportation project management.
