| Heavy duty truck is one of the most important tools of long-distance transportation.And the requirement for heavy truck is not only about functionality and appearance any more.Truck cab is the key part of a vehicle as driver’s workplace.The design for cab should satisfy not only functional requirements of vehicle but also driver’s cosiness,easy operation and security.Unfortunately,there are several unfavorable factors which would damage driver’s health in cab design among the heavy duty truck in some country at present.So optimization is necessary to improve the comfort of the cab.In this paper,we researched on the design method of cab layout according to the knowledge of somatology and space theory.We improved and optimized the parameter of our product.And we builded the three-dimensional model of heavy duty truck cab in CATIA.The cab model is analysed and evaluated in CATIA.The result shows that our cab reached the comfort level.This paper select the 95 th percentile mannequin to check the layout of the cab.Combining with the questionary result of user information and using condition,we recognized the problem of parameter design of seat,steering wheel,foot plate and transmission stick.By caculation based on thoery and comparing with other products,we improved the cab design and solved a series of problems.We presented a computer aided evaluation method for cab design.We build the improved cab model and evaluated the eyeshot and space of driver and the comfort level of seat.Then we confirmed the final parameter of cab.For the ergonomics issue in heavy truck cab design,we wish to bulid a subjective evaluation method based on and vehicle and driver,so that we can better solve the working and relaxing problems with ergonomics. |
