Heavy vehicles are mainly designed to transport goods, is one of the indispensablemeans of transport to modern social development.The design of heavy vehicle cab should notonly meet the functional requirements of the vehicle,but also to make the requirements ofdriver comfortable,convenient and safety.And there are some unfavorable factors to driver’sbody health in our current heavy vehicle’s cab design.In this paper,to aim at the problems of heavy vehicle’s cab use the theory of ergonomicsand couple with CATIA software to optimize and analysis, and finally achieve the goal of"Stories of people".In the process of the design of heavy vehicle’s cab, we found that if the design of seat isnot reasonable,it is easy to cause fatigue, affect operation,lead to the safety accident.woknown that seat width is large and deep is longer and the waist length is short,we use theprinciple of ergonomics to optimize the best seat size:width=403mm,deep=395.5mm,waistlength=665mm.The wheel and joysticks of heavy vehicle is mainly unreasonable in hand design,that thelength of the holding part is too thick or carefully will affect the operation of heavy vehicledrivers.The optimized size is for:joystick round head’s diameter=32mm,the steering wheel’sdiameter in hand size=49.9mm.The dashboard of heavy vehicle is mainly on the shapedesign,design in a semicircle is good for drivers to observe instrument and arrangeinstrument.
