The Spatial Narrative Research Of The Interior Design

This article attends to research the infiltration of the Spatial Narrative theory into the architecture and interior space design.The theoretical study of Spatial Narrative belongs to literature research in the field of literature and art,and biased towards the study of the "time".Some scholars started to pay close attention to the spatial turn in the Spatial Narrative.In this process,the intersection of the Spatial Narrative and the architecture and interior space design is valued to be explored.Except for the organize of basic design language in the Spatial Narrative design,there is a key factor,that is,the viewer's cognition,understanding and feeling of the space.At this point,the Spatial Narrative design does not only involve in the space form and space appearance,but also the spiritual communication between designers and viewers and viewer themselves is more important.Due to the wide range of the architectural and interior space,to further study the Spatial Narrative,this article selects the culture space represented by the Youth Activity Center for doing case analysis.The Youth activity center provides teenagers with off-school education activities and public welfare service area,which is the center of education,activities and communication for teenagers.From a narrative view based on the theory of literature and art,this article launched an exploration and research on the design method of the space and summarizes the deficiencies existed in the present design.Through analysis of the relationship between Spatial Narrative theory and the design theory,it summarizes a set of narrative design methods,and gradually determines the space type by the research--the Youth Activity Space in Yangtze River Delta area.Through the theory and case analysis,into the design practice,and then perfect the theory in order to form a system.The content of the article will be divided into three parts.Part one explains the concept of the Spatial Narrative and comparative analysis on defining elements,regarding on the background of the project study about the domestic and overseas research status of the Spatial Narrative about interior design.Part two further defines the space narrative design,analyses the relationship between the Spatial Narrative and interior design,and compares the key elements of the typical culture architectures and the interior space cases.Part three limits the nature of space---The Youth activity center,and the research area-the Yangtze River Delta area.According to the teenagers' specific psychological characteristics and their spatial behavior psychological characteristics,the article doing the case analysis of the space design of youth activity through data collection,and summarizes the deficiencies of this kind of space design via a comparison between theories and cases,so as to practice the design of the Spatial Narrative of youth activity.
