As a smart system for the application of the Internet of Things(IoT)in the traffic system,the Internet of Vehicles(VANET)has made tremendous contributions in alleviating traffic congestion,road planning,and resource scheduling.However,due to its large-scale network,open communication environment and unstable wireless network,it is vulnerable to attacks and causes security problems,leading to the collapse of VANET.Therefore,the security issue must be a key research aspect of the Vehicular Networking System.If information security and privacy protection cannot be achieved,car networking cannot be widely popularized.By analyzing the security threats and privacy protection needs of the Vehicular Networking System,this article mainly focuses on information security,vehicle identity privacy,and location privacy during the Vehicular Wireless Communication process.The main research contents are as follows:Firstly,based on the three-tier structure of wireless networking in the car network,it analyzes the security attacks and privacy protection needs it faces,and points out the functions that the car networking system will eventually achieve.Based on this,the security architecture model of vehicle networking system is proposed,and the part of the existing information authentication scheme that needs to be improved under the above security architecture model is analyzed.Second,a decentralized ring signcryption authentication scheme is proposed for anonymous communications.The scheme is based on the group signature technique,applying the idea of K-anonymity mechanism,forming a ring with m adjacent members and performing joint signature.This scheme can guarantee the signer’s identity privacy protection,and can quickly generate signatures and verify signatures efficiently.It also proves that the scheme has good anonymity and spontaneity through a random oracle model,which is very suitable for car networking security with high dynamic characteristics communication.Finally,taking into account that the Internet of Vehicles can access the network service through the RSU,past schemes more focus on if communication is completed while ignoring communication consumption,delay and packet loss rate.In response to the above issues,this paper proposes an RSU-assisted authentication scheme.In this scenario,it is assumed that the RSU is completely trusted,and each IVC message will be appended with a short key hash message authentication(HMAC)code generated by the vehicle.Because the irreversibility of the HMAC calculation guarantees the integrity and privacy of the message,this scheme is particularly suitable for applications where the need for privacy protection is high.Through network simulation,it is shown that this solution has great advantages in terms of communication expansion,packet loss rate and delay,and is particularly suitable for use in high-traffic modern vehicle networking environments.
