The Research Of New Folk Houses Design In Mentougou District Based On The Regional Cultural Inheritance

Beijing is not only the capital of our country,but also the cultural center with a lot of splendid cultural heritage.Mentougou District is located in the western mountainous area of Beijing.The villages here retain integrated and the pattern and folk house remains is good.It is an important part of residential culture of Beijing.But under the influence of globalization and urbanization,traditional architectural culture in China faces a challenge,especially the suburban architecture culture.The innovation of materials and technology is changing the characteristics of folk houses.Therefore,it is imminent to study the traditional culture of Mentougou District and to guide the construction of new houses.This is the main purpose of this paper.Based on the survey of five traditional villages in Mentougou District and a large number of literatures,this paper analyzes the natural and human environment in Mentougou District,including climate,topography,hydrology,natural resources,history and traditional culture.The characteristics of regional cultural and traditional folk houses in this area are analyzed through the two aspects of surface structure and deep culture.The research contents include morphological characteristics,structural features,materials and colors,details and decoration,Feng Shui,patriarchal clan system and etiquette,as well as the advantages and disadvantages of traditional folk houses.In addition,it also discusses the construction background,the social changes and the existing problems and deficiencies of the current new residence.Finally,it discusses the inheritance strategy of regional cultural in Mentougou District,summarizes the main points,and puts forward the control factors and specific requirements of the new folk house design with a proposed new folk house design.Through this study,the traditional folk house culture of Mentougou District has been systematically summarized and been sort out.The control requirements of new residential design and the design scheme have regional guidance and demonstration significance.It is good for the inheritance of regional culture,enhancement of cultural self-confidence and continuation of traditional village style.The corresponding design method can also be used for reference for the design of new regional folk houses in other regions.
