Abstract/Summary:
With the expansion of urban space,people’s pursuit for better living environment,especially for the requirements of urban park planning and design are gradually enhanced.The basic needs for people with respect to recreation and relaxation are gradually changed into the psychological aesthetic and inner feelings of satisfaction.Environmental design is getting more emphasis on human concern and no longer confines to the space of place and landscape vision of planning and design.The thesis takes the Shanghai Botanical Gardens as the research object.Through the exploration of the landscape perception and the inner emotion of the recreationists,the paper finds out the landscape preference of the botanical garden,knows the psychological characteristics of the recreationists during their touring,participation and experience,and finally analyses the differences between "design" and "application".The main research contents include:Use SD semantic differential method to establish the landscape perception evaluation system for recreationists by collecting the emotional vocabulary of non-professionals and professionals.Obtain the results of the landscape evaluation from interviewees through the experimental design.Use the factor analysis method and cluster analysis to explore the psychological structure and perceptive preference difference of the respondents.Evaluate the experimental results under the guidance of environmental psychology and landscape design theory.Find the unreasonable and missing aspects of botanical garden planning and design through the comparison and other analytical methods for the purpose of analyzing application scenarios and the actual effect of expression in different design methods and landscape elements.Combined with the professional knowledge,the thesis finally proposes improvements for the planning and design of Shanghai Botanical Garden and selects the lowest score area for design and practice.
