The vane seal of hydraulic rotary vane actuator(hereinafter referred to as the rotary actuator)is the key component that affects the stable operation of the rotary actuator.During the working process of the rotary actuator,seal heat generation—the vane seal heat is generated due to friction and material lag,resulting in the rapid increase of its temperature and change of sealing surface contact pressure,which has a serious impact on the performance and service life.In this paper,the vane seal of rotary actuator is taken as the research object.The numerical and finite element analysis methods are used to detailed study the distribution of temperature field produced by sealing heat generating and thermal solid coupling stress.The main research content includes the following several aspects(1)During the operation of the RVA,material characteristics,various failure modes and influencing factors of the vane seal are studied.(2)The mathematical model of seal heat generation is established.The distribution of sealing heat generating is obtained through apply MATLAB software,and the effects of the pre-compression,hydraulic oil pressure and reciprocating speed on heat source distribution are analyzed.(3)The temperature field mathematical model of vane seal is established base on the structure characteristics of vane seal.After the mathematical model is solve by MATLAB software programming.Meanwhile,some factors influence on temperature field of the vane seal is analyzed.These factors include: pre-compression quantity,the hydraulic oil pressure and hydraulic oil temperature,traverse speed,hydraulic oil temperature and friction coefficient.(4)The heat-solid coupling finite element model of the vane seal is established.After temperature field distribution of vane seal is simulation analyzed.And combined with the mathematical model according to the analysis results verify the rationality of the temperature field mathematical model.At the same time,the distribution of the thermal solid coupling stress of the vane seal is analyzed,and the distribution of the stress and contact pressure under the influence of temperature is obtained.And the influence of the pre-compression,oil pressure and oil temperature on the distribution of maximum thermal solid coupling stress and maximum thermal contact pressure are analyzed,and the sealing performance is analyzed.
