The purpose of barrier-free design is to reduce limitations though design,so that disabled people can work or live as ordinary people.Due to lack of space, users of barrier-free design in this thesis mainly refers to the elderly people with disability because of old age.The thesis presents solutions of barrier-free design of cars in the stage of the rapidly developing intelligent technologies and internet of things. The thesis mainly consists of the following six parts:Chapter One Introduction, describes background, current status, significance and methods of the research;Chapter Two starts with the analysis of the current situation of the aging society of China, and analyzes specifically the living conditions of the elderly-users,and researches the obstacles they confront and prepares for the solution of the design.Chapter Three expounds the origin and development of barrier-free design and the design of personal cars, summarizes elements and characteristics of barrier-free car design;Chapter Four firstly analyzes the design core of intelligent car,and apply the theories in the above four chapters into the actual case of design practice, extracting design strategies for intelligent and barrier-free car design;Chapter Five deduces several possibilities of the design trend in current times.Chapter Six is the Conclusion. The intent of the research in this thesis is to promote the application of barrier-free design in product design practice and the combination of advanced intelligent technologies and barrier-free car design,in order to making designers, design agencies and vehicle manufacturers concern about the design and development of the barrier-free cars.Through the research in this thesis, some general rules of the design of barrier-free cars are summarized and meant to inspire future researches.
