The Xiazhimenkouwai artificial channel is the only large ship navigation channel into the middle waters of the Ningbo-Zhoushan Port.It is the main gateway into and from Ningbo-Zhoushan Port.With the rapid development of the Ningbo-Zhoushan Port and the trend of large-scale ships continuously strengthened in the recent years,the navigational pressure of the Xiazhimenkouwai artificial channel is increasing day by day.At present,the navigable capacity of the navigation channel is difficult to meet the development needs of the future fairways.Therefore,it is necessary to carry out research and analysis of its navigational capabilities in order to give full play to the location advantages of Ningbo-Zhoushan Port and the advantages of the port.Also,it can promote the further development of Ningbo-Zhoushan Port,and the continuous development of Zhejiang’s coastal economy and regional economy.Due to the complexity of the channel and numerous external factors,it is very difficult to calculate the navigable capacity of it.Also,the calculation method of it is still not perfect.Based on the research and analysis of navigational abilities at home and abroad,and combined with the actual conditions of the Xiazhimenkouwai artificial channel,the article proposes to determine the navigation capacity of the channel from three aspects:maximum navigation capacity of the single ship,traffic capacity,and navigation capacity per tide.At the same time,it has combined Design Code of General Layout for Sea Port to determine the navigation scale evaluation model based on the effective width of the channel,the navigable depth of the navigable channel,the tide duration and the size of the anchorage.Firstly,the article introduces the research status at home and abroad from the aspects of the inland navigation channel and the sea channel in terms of navigational navigation capacity,and puts forward the relevant research methods.It introduces the Xiazhimenkouwai waterway environment from five aspects: geographical location,climatic conditions,hydrological conditions,anchorage conditions,and navigation days.Secondly,based on the actual research significance,it analyzes the status of the Xiazhimenkouwai artificial channel and related ports.It also forecast for port throughput,shipping volume of shipping lanes,general vessel types and vessel throughput.Thirdly,it constructs a comprehensive assessment model of navigational navigation capacity from various aspects.What’s more,based on this model,it has developed the “ navigationability assessment system ” to simplify the complicated calculations in the assessment process.Finally,it carries out a detailed calculation and analysis based on the status data of Xiazhimenkouwai artificial channel and combines with the evaluation system to determine the current status of navigation capacity and summarize it.In addiction,it puts forward to some relevant solutions and suggestions for the problems of insufficient navigation depth and the lack of anchorage size for the current channel.The article combines theory with practice.It initially explores the evaluation model of navigational navigation capacity.The research results can provide theoretical references for the evaluation of the passage capacity of large vessels for navigable navigation,and it has certain reference value.
