The development of smart substation raises a higher requirement for relay protection test.Relay protection hardware-in-the-loop test technology based on digital real-time simulation can test the function and performance of the device more accurately and comprehensively,which has important practical significance for the development and operation of the relay protection device.To satisfy the requirement of relay protection hardware-in-the-loop test,a simulation platform of smart substation secondary system based on FPGA is developed,which can provide a real and effective test environment for relay protection device.In the aspects of primary system simulation,the mathematical simulation models are built and discretized into node voltage equations.To increase the parallelism degree of computation,a maximum independent set method is used to arrange the order of node removal.A multi-input and multi-output instruction stream arithmetic unit is designed to realize the electromagnetic transient real-time simulation on FPGAIn the aspects of secondary system simulation,the SV transmission model and GOOSE communication model are described and the modularized simulation method is proposed confronted to SV information flow and the GOOSE information flow.The text and delay of the SV packet can random change by linear feedback shift registers.In the aspects of platform framework,the hardware constitution and function of secondary system simulation platform are introduced and the advantage of the primary system simulator and the process layer device simulator are described in detail.The human-computer interaction interface is designed based on Windows Qt.To verify the accuracy and effectiveness of simulation platform,a classical smart substation case is built which includes 334 nodes and runs at a 50?s time step to compute the electromagnetic transient real-time simulation.The primary system faults test and SV information flow faults test are implemented successfully on a CSC-103 lines protect device.
