Driven by the development and utilization of Marine mineral resources,the autonomous underwater vehicle technology has enjoyed a rapid growth.In order to ensure autonomous underwater vehicle being capable of carrying out a mission for a long period of time under water,its energy system needs to take more responsibilities to meet that high demand.Nowadays,however,the approaches to solving this problem are mainly by means of improving the energy density,strengthening energy management and charging for underwater etc.This paper mainly studies the underwater wireless charging technology,and hereby we also developed a whole set of autonomous underwater vehicle energy system.Firstly,by analyzing the principle of wireless charging technology,we design an underwater charging system.And appropriate magnetic core material and model are selected according to the properties of underwater environment and simulation results from Maxwell v12.0 software.Then we design an inverter circuit oriented for high frequency as well as the corresponding control circuit,rectifier circuit and power compensation circuit etc.After finishing the whole hardware circuit design,we carry out the corresponding experiment for debugging.Due to the fact that the type of energy for the autonomous underwater vehicle is lithium polymer battery,we need to design a underwater pressure battery management system to secure the underwater wireless charging system.Based on the characteristics of underwater pressure battery batteries,a real-time monitor system on underwater pressure battery batteries,battery voltage,charge and discharge current,environment temperature is developed,and in the same manner the corresponding debugging experiment is conducted on it.The organizations of this paper are as follows:(1)The underwater wireless charging system can be divided into three parts,i.e.the primary circuit,underwater coupling circuit and secondary circuit.According to the function of each part of the circuit,we design reasonable hardware circuits for the primary and secondary circuit.Furthermore,based on the properties of the underwater environment,the underwater coupling circuit is designed,and of course the corresponding debugging experiment is running on it,by doing so we realize underwater power transmission.(2)As with choosing different types of underwater magnetic core and through underwater electromagnetic field simulation experiment,we obtained the coupling coefficients of each magnetic core with different spacing.After that,we select the one with a larger coupling coefficient conditioned on the same spacing.By following this procedure,we demonstrate significantly improvements on the effectiveness of test.(3)In order to reduce reactive power of underwater radio transmission system and improve the efficiency of underwater radio transmission system,a join power compensation circuit is embedded in the design.(4)Over discharge or overcharge of underwater pressure battery will both shorten the battery's life,so in order to guarantee the safety of underwater pressure battery within the autonomous underwater vehicle,the corresponding battery management system needs to be deployed.Through battery charging and discharging test on the underwater pressure battery,we prove the reliability of the underwater pressure battery and that of the battery management system.
