Radon is the second factor causes lung cancer below than smoking,which Also the main source of human by natural radiation exposure.the radon concentration of mine workplace always higher than the background level,which threaten the health of mine workers and surrounding residents.The radon in the air of mine environment mainly comes from the decay of radium in the ore and diffused to the environment.As the most intuitive parameters of the radon exhalation ability of ore,Radon emanation coefficient been measured accurately is very significance for the evaluation of mine environment radon concentration.Currently,emanation method and gamma energy spectrum method become the preferred method of ore radon emanation coefficient measurement as stipulated in the NO.333 Technical report of the international atomic energy agency and the nuclear industry standard of the People's Republic of China-uranium emanation coefficient measurement specification.Even though the emanation method is more complicated in operation,and easy been influenced by the environment and it also need to wait for a long time(at least 15 days),but the emanation method is still the most wildly used by research workers due toits high accuracy.With the development and application of gamma spectrometer,gamma energy spectrum method is also a good choose for the measurement of radon emanation coefficient.Compared with the emanation method,gamma energy spectrum method has the advantages of quick and convenient,but the reliability of this method and the stability are still need to be verified.Besides,it is very complicated for normal gamma energy spectrum to measure the radon emanation coefficient of long time sealing ore sample,so,it is necessary to optimize the normal gamma energy spectrum method for radon emanation coefficient measurement of long time sealing ore sample.The result shows that the average radon emanation coefficient were11.97%,27.67%,20.73% and 27.67% of the four types ore samples marked A,B,C,D.Those measurement results are accurate and reliable,and the HPGe spectrometer measurement process has good stability.A New measurement method of radon emanation coefficient for The long-term sealing of ore was build which based on gamma ray spectroscopy,this method can measure radon emanation of long-term sealing samples fastly and accurately,this method reduce the measurement time from 4 days to one day,improving the efficiency of a single sample measuring radon emanation coefficient greatly.
