Control cabinets and terminal boxes are the most important parts to connect the primary equipments with the secondary ones,which play crucial roles in the safetyoperationoftransformer substation.Currently,the dehumidifying effect of most dehumidificationdevices of the control cabinets or terminalboxes in the substation is not satisfactory because of the poor installation,low product quality,and so on.The poor dehumidifying performance makes the air in the control cabinets or terminalboxes too humid so that the vapor condenses into water drops,which results in severe corrosion,insulation reduction,and the DCsystemalarms.All these unexpected situations lead to accidents,such as DC system grounding,equipment short-circuiting,and fault tripping.Therefore,reducing air humidity in the control cabinets or terminalboxes is extremely important to improve the operation safety of the transformer substation.By comparison and analysis of theories on about domestic and overseas dehumidification devices for control cabinets and terminal boxes,a new type intelligent dehumidification device based on semiconductor refrigeration was designed,which uses direct current to transfer heat and has a lot of advantages such as long operation duration,pollution and refrigerants free without noise.Semiconductor refrigeration is a new type of refrigerator,which uses direct current to transfer heat,and this new type of refrigerator has a lot of advantages,such as long operating life,pollution free,refrigerants free,and silence.Data collecting and processing ability of the microprocessor is a key in the dehumidification device.In this study,we used the whole cycle Fourier series was usedbecause its algorithm is easy to operate and can control DC and harmonic components reliably,which satisfies our requirement for SCM function.The hardware and circuit in our design should not only meet the national standards and norms,but also be operated under some inclement weather conditions.To ensure that the design can work properly in real world conditions,experiments were performed to test the system's anti-interference ability.After anti-interference test,we applied the device in Dezhou Power Supply Company for 1 year,and the implementation results indicated that the new dehumidification device works faster and more effectively compared with other devices.The satisfactory experimental results demonstrated that the newly designed system has a potential for wide application.
