Under the pressure of rapid urbanization and motorization,transit-oriented develop mode is the best choice for those large and medium-sized cities in China.It is necessary to set up a set of standardized evaluation to evaluate the efficiency of the whole system and to determine how to improve it in the future.This work is supported by grant from the National Nature Science Foundation of China(51338003).The research can be summarized in four parts.First,making the meaning of "transit-oriented traffic system" and the definition of"efficiency" clear,understanding the focus and the core for cities with different scales,and confirming the scope of evaluation.Second,transit-oriented road and traffic system efficiency evaluation index system is constructed with five parts of residents travel efficiency evaluation,road network operation efficiency evaluation,public transport system evaluation,environmental impact and energy consumption evaluation,as well as economic performance evaluation.Each index in the evaluation system is defined,quantified and graded.Third,using AHP-FCE to evaluate the efficiency of the whole system,in which way,not only the whole system can be evaluated,but also each subgoal and single index can be evaluated as well,and thus the weak point of the system can be recognized rapidly.Fourth,based on the professional traffic analysis platform——TranStar,using Visual C++and Qt mixed programming,the evaluation index system is realized by software,which improves the practicability and maneuverability of the theoretical model.In addition,taking Wuxi City as an example,and making a comparison between the current road network and the future network with Metro Line 3.
