With the development of virtual reality technology and network communication technology,the development of a three-dimensional virtual cabin system with virtual reality has been an important direction in the research of modern marine turbine simulation system.Compared with the semi-physical simulator combined with two-dimensional simulation interface of the traditional marine simulator,the virtual cabin can provide a more realistic and intuitive cabin real scene,providing a lifelike immersive experience for operators and providing trainers with more autonomous and efficient learning Training platform.In this paper,10,000 cases of container ship "Atlantic" as the mother ship,Combined with the development and design of Dalian Maritime University million cases of marine turbine simulator project,design and develop "Atlantic”three-dimensional cabin virtual simulation system.On the basis of improving the Lambert model,this paper develops a shader that is more suitable for the virtual cabin environment and has a good performance in the actual scene.This paper first studies the development,characteristics and classification of virtual reality technology and its application in marine simulator.According to the characteristics of "Atlantic" million cases of ships,the functional requirements of three-dimensional engine room are designed and a virtual design framework is established.Subsequently,3ds Max is selected as a project modeling tool for modeling and optimizing the cabin scene,researching and applying the map baking techniques and the normal mapping technology to increase the realism of the scene.Using Unity 3D as the virtual engine,based on the diffuse and specular lighting models,half-Lambert and Blinn-Phong shader scripts are improved and developed using C#language to enhance the scene lighting effects.Using Unity as vertebral body culling technique,occlusion culling technique and LOD technique,the GPU display optimization of the cabin scene is performed according to actual scene requirements;this paper studies the camera imaging and control principle of the virtual cabin,establishes the virtual operation of the interactive point by analyzing the collision detection and ray pickup technology,and finally completes the human-computer interaction design of the cabin.Finally,the data acquisition system of turbine simulator is analyzed,and the connectionless communication of UDP socket is adopted to realize the virtual synchronization of 3D virtual cabin and 2D simulation system.
