According to the innovative requirement of tire building drum with large axial and radial scalable ratio(referred to as tire buliding drum with large scalable ratio)by tire building equipment,its topological structure,type synthesis,kinematic and static analysis,dimensional synthesis of the linkage mechanism and design of cam curve have been studied.The main research contents and results are as follows:(1)Type synthesis.By analyzing the topological structures of existing axial and radial scalable tire building drums,the axial and radial scalable requirements of this kind of tire building drums are summarized,then the drums is divided into two basic scalable units(internal and external drum-shoulder mechanisms).On that basis,feasible configurations of the 2 basic scalable units are stuided based on screw theory,and 726 types of tire building drums with large scalable ratios have been obtained by combining the 2 basic scalable units,whcih provides an effective method for the innovative design of tire building drum with large scalable ratio.(2)Static analysis.Kinematic model of one new tire building drum is established based on vector method,and then motion parameter of each component are obtained.On that basis,dynamic static analysis model of the internal and external mechanisms are established,and then are analyzed by MATLAB simulation under different working conditions,main factors affecting the force of key components are revealed,which provides a theoretical basis for the structure design of tire building drum.(3)Dimensional synthesis.The analysis models of parameter design of the internal and external drum-shoulder mechanisms are established based on sub structure method,and dimensional synthesis method based on the scalable properties and force transmission characteristics of the mechanism are analysized.On the basis that each link length of internal and external drum-shoulder mechanisms is determined,the design method of cam curve fixedly connecting link mechanism is studied.The research results provide an effective method for the further development of the parametric design of tire building drum with large scalable ratio.(4)Virtual prototype design.The CAD model of one tire building drum is established based on virtual technology,and simulation shows that the mechanism synthesis method is right and feasible,which provides a reference and theoretical guidance for the innovative design of tire building drum with large scalable ratio.
