With the development of science and technology and social civilization,emergence of large span steel structure stadium,exhibition center and other public buildings,new public buildings and the complex structure with features,which presents a great challenge to the traditional construction technology of steel structure.In order to cope with the limitation of the current complex architectural design and traditional construction technology,the building information model(BIM)is increasing widely applied.The application of BIM technology can provide more reasonable construction plan for the project with unique appearance and complex structure.This paper is based on the stadium construction,the construction of civil and steel structure of this project as the research object,aiming at the construction of a large span space steel structure,establish the three-dimensional model of the project using the BIM technology,developed two sets of steel structure installation scheme and construction scheme selection,optimization and 4D animation simulation program the exploration and application of BIM technology in large span space steel structures in the construction of the stadium.The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1)consult the literature about BIM technology and large-span spatial steel structure construction,comb the theoretical development of BIM technology,the application status at home and abroad,the introduction of BIM software,and the specific application of BIM technology in the construction stage.(2)Create 3D structure model of gymnasium.Combined with engineering practice,we have compiled two sets of steel structure installation technology construction plan for steel structure engineering: combined structure roof lifting method and steel structure roof segmental hoisting method.Two sets of steel structure installation technology plan are analyzed.According to the time spent in each construction process,the plan one can save 27 days in construction period.Through the analysis and comparison of project cost estimation index,it is concluded that the plan one can save 362 thousand yuan for measure cost.After analysis,the best scheme is the whole lifting method of composite structure roof.(3)To create 3D model of BIM structure by using Revit and Tekla software,the BIM software engineering quantity statistics and construction conditions of the project show,the Revit software to create3 D structure model,Tekla to create 3D steel structure model integration in the Navisworks platform,combined with the construction plan quarter in the TimeLiner module,the construction progress of animation define project simulation.The stadium construction project is a complicated and comprehensive business activities,BIM technology is conducive to accurate grasp of the construction process in the project implementation process,guarantee the resources and scientific and rational arrangement of construction site layout.The roof structure of gymnasium belongs to large span steel structure,large span steel structure installation for construction implementation challenges,the large span steel structure construction technology is complex,security risks,and BIM technology can optimize the construction program,capable of visualization simulation for the technical scheme for construction process technology difficult to take control measures to improve the overall efficiency of the construction stage through the use of BIM technology.
