More and more high-performance ship with higher speed and lower weight such as ACV began using the high strength aluminium alloy as its hull material.At present few studies of maritime aluminium sheet-with-ribs can be found.In the dissertation,buckling and fatigue strength of aluminum sheet-with-ribs were studied,including the following sections:1)The differences between buckling strength assessment method presented by CCS,DNV,ABS rules of sea-going high speed craft were described and analysed.The typical aluminium structures were assessd by those methods.2)A simple stability solution of the deck and buckling eigenvalue calculation method were used in two kinds of typical aluminium sheet-with-ribs frame structure to compare the longitudinal elastic buckling and acquire the Euler stress and elastic buckling critical loads of each structure.3)The typical welded joints in aluminum sheet-with-ribs structures were studied and welded joint specimens were designed to test the life cycles in different stress level.The S-N curves of the welded joints were derived from the test.4)Full scale frame structure of aluminium sheet-with-ribs had been tested on constant amplitude cyclic loads of one level to derive the fatigue properties and verify the test result of the welded joints.
