Port shoreline is a nation's scarce resources as an important part of the marine resource.The government thinks highly of marine works and has kept a high-involvement during the past 30 years since the reform and open policy came up,leading to a high-speed development of port construction.As a result,the development of nearshore coastal resource is close to saturation.It has come to a stalement where more wharves are needed without enough port shoreline to use.So how to realize the port development to the offshore,deep-water environment is the key to port construction.Currently,offshore deep-walter wharf construction has become the key task of the water carriage project based on China's the Twelfth Five-year Plan.Meanwhile,more technical issues in structural design of offshore deep-water wharf need to be solved.Based on the development trend described above,the present paper carries out a detailed research on the force character and settlement of piled offshore deep-water wharf.The paper is dovided into the following four sections:First of all,the latest development and research of the force character and settlement of piled offshore deep-water wharf have been summarized.Then the material constitutive models applied in the present paper are introduced in detail,such as the elastoplastic constitutive model of soil and the plastic-damage constitutive model of concrete.Secondly,two different methods are used to calculate settlement of pile foundation of group piles.The importance of initial ground sress balance is exposited,and a suitable theory for this present paper has been proposed.Through the comparison for the results of theoretical calculation and numerical simulation,the numerical simulation theory proposed in the present paper is proved feasible.Thirdly,the influence factors on the force character and settlement of pile foundation are sdudied by controlling variables method.Though creating finite element simulation model of pile foundations with the help of ABAQUS software,the paper has summarized influence mechanism of pile length and diameter and soil properties on force character and settlement of pile foundation.At last,a fresh offshore deep-water wharf structure scheme with all vertical pile is carried out according to the present condition of a wharf in service.A finite element model is built to indicate the internal force and deformation in designed high water level.The internal force and settlement of the new-designde wharf and the original one are comparative analyzed.
