With rapid development of global tourism,tourist souvenirs,as a crucial part of tourism,attract the attention of people from all walks of life.Tourist souvenirs consumption is the most flexible choice in travel.In terms of current industry status,design of tourist souvenirs has great potential for development.As China's status and influence on international stage is rising constantly,Chinese culture is gradually accepted and respected by people around the world.The culture of Han and Tang dynasties is the most emblematic,giving the world a preliminary impression of Chinese people.The culture of Han and Tang Dynasties is very profound,and art culture in it is especially outstanding.Tourism souvenirs design based on Han and Tang dynasties will enrich cultural connotation and cultural deposits of tourist souvenirs,achieve the purpose of spreading Chinese international tourism image.This research which combines with the development of tourist souvenirs is on premise of meeting tourists' emotional needs.Emotional design concept was integrated,to fully explore and analyze how tourist souvenirs play the role of emotional communication with the public.This paper expounds theory of tourist souvenirs and emotional design,and analyze the expressional elements of emotional design,design trends,and significance of tourist souvenirs.Then a set of theory of emotional design based on Han and Tang dynasties culture was summed up and verified by real examples.This paper emphatically introduces unique souvenirs of Han and Tang dynasties culture,to contribute to the diversification and novelty of the domestic tourism souvenirs.Through this research,emotional design principles,design methods and design evaluation system on tourist souvenirs were put forward according to Han and Tang dynasties culture,providing a theoretical and design reference for future tourism souvenirs design.Theoretical researches and design examples broaden design ideas of tourist souvenirs,enriching the types on market and the cultural connotation of tourist souvenirs,improving additional value of tourist souvenirs.These will add both traditional sentiment and humanistic feelings to souvenirs,and eventually form unique design language of Han and Tang dynasties.
