Compared to traditional convection air conditoning system,radiation air conditioning system(RACS)has a vast of potential use and gradually been regarded as a modern and effective tech in air conditioning industry to realize the comfortness and energy efficiency,thereby been extensively applied to both residential and public buildings.That how to promote the RACS has become a focus topic around related professionals in China.In the meantime,researches on the RACS are emphsized in floor radiant heating and ceiling radiant cooling,regardless of the Radiant side panel terminal(RSPT).Desk task-ambient air conditioning is considered as a type of user-friendly air conditioning,however most researchers focus on convection desk task-ambient air conditoning system.According to the above problems,the following topics will be carefully discussed in this paper.First is the comparison of the indoor thermal comfort between RSPT and convection terminal,electric heater.And the second is to put forward a new type of RSPT by combining the features of the RSPT and desk task-ambient.The last is to compare this new terminal with traditional convection terminal under certain different situations of indoor thermal comfort.To begin with,the indoor thermal comfort can be evaluated to an appropriate level with several local unsatisfied indexes and performing the experiment of radiant side panel terminal to collect the parameters of indoor thermal environment,and by applying Airpak to analyze the indoor air velocity field,temperature field and the distribution of PMV and PPD under certain conditons.At the same time,we can analyze and compare the indoor thermal environment under convection air condition terminal and electric heater with RSPT in the same situation.The result shows that under RSPT heating,the least indoor vertical temperature difference was gained,and the most evenly distribution of temperature was gained in the lower space of the testing room.Also,in the main humen activity areas,the indoor air velocity was less than 0.15m/s.Moreover,when the setting indoor temperature is 20 ?,the value of PMV ranged-0.26 to-0.18,the value of PPD was less than 10%,and the indoor thermal comfort was best.Simultaneously the best distribution of PMV was achieved by RSPT under the same indoor controlling temperature.At the second stage,the new radiant side panel workstation terminal has been arised and applied to execute cooling experiment and collect the parameters of indoorthermal environment.By applying Airpak,simulations and data-analysis of the indoor air velocity field,temperature field and distribution of PMV-PPD under two different cases.It is showed that,under the new radiant panel workstation terminal,the distribution of indoor air temperature was more uniform,and indoor air velocity was lower.in the main humen activity areas,the the value of PMV and PPD was 0.45 and8.31% respectively,which was lower than convection air conditoning terminal in the same conditions.In conclusion,the two types of proposed radiant side panel terminal in this paper can not only provide researchers reference but also boost the promotion of the radiant air condition systems.
