The automotive steering system is a specially used to change or keep the car moving in the direction of system,its role is to make the car in motion process according to the driver's idea to change the direction of travel,at the same time,under the road came a sudden shock or car accident away from the driving direction,to maintain stability of the vehicle to continue driving;Therefore,the performance of the steering system is directly related to the stability and safety of the vehicle.In this paper,the above problems are studied deeply,a commercial vehicle model of Dongfeng Liuzhou automobile co.,ltd.is selected,and the traditional steering system is studied as follows:First,the paper analyzes the abnormal wear of tires,the wobbling of the steering wheel idling and the wrong steering wheel,and analyzes the fundamental reason of the motion interference of steering suspension:the steering linkage and suspension spring,while restricting the movement track of steering knuckle arm,the motion between the two affects and interfere with each other When the amount of interference is large,the steering system will not be controlled.Known:the traditional commercial vehicle steering system is unable to solve the above problems,can only through the design check to reduce the occurrence probability of the above problems.Secondly,the paper studies the method and principle of the coordination of steering suspension,and uses the different analysis methods such as plane analysis and space analysis to study the coordination of steering suspension At the same time,the example is analyzed to point out the problem and the direction of improvement Through the above analysis,the conclusion that the existing traditional steering system layout can not solve the suspension motion interference,at the same time,a new type of steering system layout to solve the suspension motion interference problem.Finally,combined with the development trend of science and technology,this paper puts forward a new type of commercial vehicle steering system layout:the steering gear is arranged on the front axle,and the front axle At the same time,the working principle of the new commercial vehicle steering gear is analyzed.The new type of commercial vehicle steering system will not have the steering suspension movement interference,and there is no need to carry on the suspension movement coordination analysis;The workload of the steering system is reduced and the safety of the vehicle is improved.On the one hand,the advantages and disadvantages of the new and old two kinds of steering systems are compared,through examples,the analysis results show that the new commercial vehicle steering system is feasible and meets the design principles of commercial vehicle steering system The new commercial vehicle steering system is more advantageous than the traditional commercial vehicle steering system,which effectively solves the problem of steering suspension motion interference,steering wheel misalignment and left-right steering wheel synchronization steering On the other hand,it points out the applicable range of the new type of steering system,which has important guiding significance and practical value to the development of steering system.
