| As "school closing and merging" becomes a public concern, the large-scale aggregation of schools in cities and towns has made construction of urban primary and middle schools an important topic for discussion.Teaching buildings in primary and middle schools,as the main places where adolescents acquire information and knowledge, have turned into the focus of construction.Certain achievements and desirable effect have been obtained in the construction of China’s green primary and middle schools because of increasing attention of the country. However, they fail to pay attention to regional division standards.Changsha City is characterized by a special terrain, hard weather conditions of hot summer and cold winter, and lack of experience in selection of green technology for the construction of teaching buildings in primary and middle schools. As a result,it has compounded the building energy consumption, and meanwhile affected adolescents’ learning efficiency and even healthy growth. At present, studies on appropriate technologies for Changsha’s green buildings are still at a basic stage and they are unsound in some aspects, especially for specific types of buildings.Hence, this study is of great importance to formulating viable technological strategies for specific types of buildings. The study in this paper includes five chapters in total and main contents are as follows:Chapter 1 is introduction. It summarizes the research background, relevant theories and the status quo of domestic and foreign studies on green primary and middle schools, points out shortcomings and defects in existing studies, and proposes the new topic and approaches for studies on appropriate technologies for teaching buildings in green primary and middle schools in Changsha.Chapter 2 explains primary and middle schools and their teaching buildings, and basic concepts of green building and appropriate technology, and argues the necessity of studies and development of appropriate technology for teaching buildings in green primary and middle schools by analyzing domestic and foreign policies and practice regarding green primary and middle schools.Chapter 3 introduces a survey on Changsha’s current green primary and middle schools in terms of green technology statistics and technological use satisfaction, concludes and summarizes shortcomings existing in these current green primary and middle schools, and works out the principle of individuality in appropriate technology, thus preparing for selection of appropriatetechnology for green primary and middle schools in the following part of the study.Chapter 4 builds a two-level selection approach based on the principle of individuality and common indexes of appropriate technology for teaching buildings in green primary and middle schools in Changsha. The first one is a preliminary selection method based on the principle of individuality;the second is a deepening selection method on the basis of common indexes.Eventually, various appropriate technologies are picked for analysis and comparison.Chapter 5 conducts a more detailed technological categorization and comparison of selected appropriate technologies according to what’s stated above.Besides,it illustrates selected concrete technologies from such aspects as design strategy and construction measures. In the end,it concludes the appropriate technology for teaching buildings in green primary and middle schools in Changsha, and formulates an integration solution. The entire paper focuses on the study of "appropriate technology for teaching buildings in green primary and middle schools in Changsha",and refers to theories and research methods related with teaching buildings in green primary and middle schools and appropriate technology.Furthermore,it sets up a two-level selection method of appropriate technology, obtains the appropriate technology for green primary and middle schools in Changsha, and summarizes concrete practices, thus providing reference for the future construction of green teaching buildings in primary and middle schools in Changsha. |
