China is driving the construction and operation of modern trams rapidly.The modern tram lines are generally laid on the main passenger corridor,which results in the competition of modern tram and bus.This research of line coordination between modern tram and bus has great significance to improve the efficiency and level of urban public transport system,which can promote the integration of modern tram and bus networks and implement the bus priority strategy.The economic and technical characteristics of urban public transportation are analyzed in the paper.The five functional orientations of modern tram are summarized and the research object of this paper are defined.The line coordination influencing factors of modern tram and bus is analyzed,including the development of city and economic,changes in residents' travel demand and development of urban traffic.The network connection,and line competition and cooperation relationship of modern tram and bus are studied so as to obtain reasonable network connection form.The coordination goal is defined,and the coordination strategies from the two levels of line and operation are put forward.Combined with the principle of bus line adjustment,the adjustment method of bus line within the modern tram corridor is proposed from the line and station level.At theline-level,the bus lines are classified according to the line space relationship,functional level and passenger conditions,and then the adjustment measures and timing of specific lines are put forward.At the station-level,the setting principles of transfer station are defined.Combined with the transfer relationship of modern tram and bus,modern tram lines and station settings,and the surrounding land,the coordination modes of the transfer station are proposed and the characteristics of the various transfer stations are analyzed.The transfer stations of modern tram are selected according to transfer passenger demand and turnover in the morning and evening peak.Considering the road grade,network,road conditions and so on,the road network which accorded with the transit bus operating conditions is selected.Based on the connection between the bus stations and the modern tram stations,the candidate set of stations is generated.On the basis of road network and candidate set of stations,the generation technique of candidate feeder bus lines is proposed using k shortest path.A line generating model of feeder bus is constructed,which aims to minimize average passenger travel time and maximize the efficiency of feeder bus,and the genetic algorithm is designed to solve the model.The influence of the line coordination between modern tram and feeder bus on passenger transfer waiting time is analyzed.In the condition of unequal interval departure,considering the capacity limitation of feeder bus,an operation coordination model is built,which aims to minimize the transfer waiting cost of passengers and the operation cost of enterprises,and the genetic algorithm embedded with enumeration method is designed to solve the model.Taking the modern tram of Suzhou high-tech zone as an example,the passenger characteristics of modern tram and buses are analyzed.And then the method of line coordination between modern tram and bus is applied to practice,and the line coordination program of modern tram and bus in Suzhou high-tech zone is obtained.
